There is a new teacher at Glenvista Primary who teaches Grade 1. I have never been so happy about a service like I am with hers. Her name is Mrs Scott. She is hands on and treats every child like they are her own. She never gets tired of my questions when it comes to my child. We work hand in hand to make sure that my daughter is okay. I have seen great improvement when it comes to my daughter. I really wish she can teach my daughter in grade 2 as well, that is how satisfied I am with her teaching skills. During school holidays my daughter tells me that she misses going to school because she wants to see her teacher. I am very impressed. Mrs Scott, I would like to say THANK YOU. Keep up the good work! Glenvista Primary School has a treasure in you!

Glenvista Primary School Glenvista primary- worst school in the south of johannesburg Glenvista primary is the worst school in the entire Gauteng. After making many complaints about the victimisation of our child today we picked him up from school and noticed he had defecated in his pants. Rushing him home to get bathed and changed he stated that his teacher does not allow kids to use the bathroom after breaks. Not only is the education at its poorest in this school, the teachers are absolutely useless and more concerned with taking selfies for Instagram and WhatsApp posts than attending to the kids. I urge any parents who are thinking of Glenvista primary as an option to reconsider any other school. THIS IS ABUSE ! No child should have to sit in a classroom in their own filth due to an abusive teacher!

I regret taking my daughter to that school, the school teachers don't pay attention to bulling, she has been bullied a lot of times and when she report to the teachers they do nothing and last year there was a kid who ***ually harassed two girls and the principal ignored the matter but yet the parents meeting was called and parents suggested that that should be suspended in order for him to know and understand that what he did was wrong but surprisingly the next day he was at school, the school is also very racist, my daughter did not get her last year remaining stationery where else every parent went to collect it as well as my husband but he did not get it and Mrs. Peterson promised to look for it but she never did and when we contact the school , we get no assistance as we are black parents and she is Indian the school feels its right for her not to do anything regarding the matter and the worst of them all the school does not teach my daughters books has no teachers signatures to show that they check pupils books and when and her teacher refuses to assist where kids don't understand Glenvista Primary School is the worst school that promote all wrong things.

This has to be one of the worse schools ever, my son has been beaten with a belt on his face, slapped and the most recent was him being slapped on the face that he bled through his nose. My son is in grade 1 but he has had the worst experience ever...

Glenvista Primary School is the worse. As the cold weather has come into full swing all a parent want to do is keep their child warm. Im not to sure if it's the same with other schools but something just really made me to see that at this school the Educators are more concerned about how kids look then how they actually feel. In the beginning of the year I bought my daughter both her summer and winter uniform. When the days started getting so cold I started putting on her school tracksuit. She would come home and tell me the teacher said they shouldn't wear that so she hammered me for the dress. So then I put her grey tights under the dress because I wasnt gonna send my 6 year old bare legged in the cold like that. Only to find the principal took her to the toilets in the morning for her to take it off. I just don't think that's right. The sent us a letter to state that we must please make sure the kids wear warm so they don't get sick and don't miss days. Then I wear my daughter warm, they got a problem with the tracksuits, then let her take of what kept her warm early in the morning. Iv had to endure this whole year, bad communication, last minute communication from them, yet we go along with for the sake of the kids. You never get hold of them, as they put numbers on the school letterhead that's non existent and you get told to not just do walk ins, which is understandable. The other day they introduced dance classes and make us to arrange with our transport to come an hour later. Just to find that they don't allow some kids for whatever reason and the kids have to sit and wait in the parking lots for an hour. My daughter is grade 1 this year so Im not sure if all schools are this ****py. Let me not even get started on how my daughter report on some of the grade 2 teacher who look after them when their teacher is absent, how the kids get thrown with the teachers shoes and slapped on the heads.
