On 12 November 2021 I received a quotation and Pro Forma Invoice for the amount of R181 255,42 from Green Point Solar. An 80% deposit was required before work could commence. On 1 December 2021 I paid a deposit of R145 004,36. I was told by the sales representative that installation would possibly occur at the end of December. If not, then installation would occur in January of 2022. After numerous excuses without any installation by mid March 2022, I took the case to a lawyer and a letter of demand was sent on 22 March 2022. The owner (Hello Peter will not allow me to mention his name, so please do your due diligence and look up who the owner is - he is mentioned on the public domain, specifically LinkedIn) signed an acknowledgement of debt (Case No. 11678/2022) with my attorneys on 8 June 2022. He agreed to pay off the amount owing in small increments over the space of 18 months. He paid off the first installment at the end of June 2022, and thereafter reneged on the signed agreement. He changed lawyers but I managed to trace him and my lawyers sent another Acknowledgement of Debt, which he again signed. He again paid once and reneged on the deal. I have been in contact with 15 other victims, whom he also promised to pay back, so I suspect that his pyramid scheme collapsed and he was unable to pay back any monies owing. As per his previous con, he transfers all his assets into his families' names so that nobody gets anything in the case of liquidation. It is correct that the business is now closed due to this fact, plus the fact that he never paid his rent and he also neglected to pay some of his solar suppliers. Docket CAS 209/8/2022 at Villiera Police Station, Pretoria refers to one docket against him. Docket CAS 137/10/2022 at Vereeniging Police Station is another such instance. He has appeared in court on a number of occasions because of the fraud he perpetrated against his victims. To date, if legal fees are included, I am out of pocket over R200 000. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN OR ANY OF HIS FAMILY. RESEARCH HIS NAME AND STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE WITH THAT SURNAME.

Green Point Renewables came to my premises to assess my property for a solar installation. On 12 November 2021, I received a quotation and Pro Forma Invoice for the amount of R181 255,42. An 80% deposit was required before work could commence. On 1 December 2021 I paid a deposit of R145 004,36. I was told by the sales representative, Mr Ryno Eksteen that installation would possibly occur at the end of December. If not, then installation would occur in January of 2022. After numerous excuses without any installation, I took the case to a lawyer and a letter of demand was sent on 22 March 2022. Mr Marko Lemke signed an acknowledgement of debt with my attorneys on 8 June 2022. He agreed to pay off the amount owing. Mr Lemke paid off the first small installment at the end of June 2022, and thereafter reneged on the signed agreement. He then changed attorneys and we managed to get another small payment out of him before he reneged yet again. At the moment I am still out of pocket about R200 000 if I include my legal fees. It seems that he put property in his wife's name and assets in his son's name so that he can't be liquidated. Yes, he vacated the premises because he didn't pay his rent and it seems that the company closed down in about August 2022. He also never paid some solar suppliers. An all round shady character. Detective Ndala at Villiera Police Station, Pretoria can confirm a docket CAS 209/8/2022 in this regard. Another docket was opened at the Vereeniging Police Station CAS 137/10/2022. These are but a few of the dockets opened against him. I have details of quite a number of people who have had the misfortune of losing money to this character. This is not the first time that he has done this. He might open another company and do the same thing. It seems to be his modus operandi. Please be very careful of doing business with this man.

I wish there was less than a 1 star, this company and its con artist of a director Marko Lemke who deserves to be in jail. He is a thief and has no clue when it comes to running a reputable business. He basically takes 80% deposits and then you get 1 lie after the other and absolutely no delivery of what is promised. I do not know how a person like this is allowed to run a business. He has scammed who knows how many people including myself. We plan to continue to pursue this scamster through the legal system until justice is served. Do yourself a favor and stay away from him or any company he is ever involved in.

Marko Lemke confessions - Greenpoint Renewables I’ve stolen a lot of money from customers. I asked for huge deposits from them to install solar products, knowingly that I will be spending their money for myself. Some of my victims include people who had to lend these funds and are desperately trying to pay these debts off, single moms and even suppliers to my business. I’ve done this before and got away with it by liquidating Greenpoint Solar and starting Greenpoint Renewables. And I’m trying to do the same again – hopefully, I get away with it. I continually lie to the customers and promise all sorts of payment plans etc, but I have not done so. I’m a compulsive liar. I even got arrested for selling and installing stolen cell phone tower batteries at a school here in Pretoria. I have involved my sons by trying to hide my assets with them so collectors are unable to come after me, not even considering what that would do to my sons and family.

Paid a huge 80% deposit to Greenpoint Solar and Marko Lemke the owner closed the business down less than a week later. Marko has disappeared off the face of the earth since then and his ex employees know nothing. I have not received any equipment, work completed or a refund for my money.

I initially got a quote from Elise from Greenpoint Solar in May. Once I secured the finance I requested for someone to come to my house to confirm what was needed for the installation. Marko, the owner of Greenpoint Solar came to my house on the 22nd of July and said the only change required would be a better battery that they had in stock i.e. if I went with the old initial battery quote, I would have to wait a month for the installation, but with the more expensive battery the installation would be done in 7 working days. I accepted the new quote and paid the huge (80%) deposit. A week later they told me that they're out of stock on that battery and I would have to wait another week. I few days later I on the 2nd of August I was called by Marko saying that he just came back from Australia and fired his General Manager for incompetence and because of it there would be some more delays as he tries to "pick up the pieces" of his business being run into the ground by his general manager. However, he said that I shouldn't worry as he will receive new stock by the 15th of August and will thereafter be able to complete the installation. Of course, this was a lie, because he couldn’t have been in Australia because he came to my house just over a week beforehand. This was the last time I heard from him. On the 5th of August, his employee Elsie told me that Marko had told all his employees on the 29th of July to “go home” and that she didn’t know what was happening. So as I later learned he had already closed down the company when he called me. On the 8th of August I spoke to another ex employee Lee, who informed me that Marko was arrested on the 4th of August and that the company has closed down. Neither Elsie nor Lee know anything more than that and Marko is unreachable. To this day I have not received any equipment or any work done by Marko or his company Greenpoint Solar, nor have I received any refund. He basically a huge amount of money from me and disappeared.

I just found out that Greenpoint has permanently closed down. The owner is establishing another company. We are not finished with him. We still want our money. He also owes his employees their last month salaries prior to closing down the company.
