Terrible Tax Practitioner Services

I submitted my tax returns earlier in the year through a comany called GVR Accounting, who are tax practitioners. Needless to say I was sent an invoice for R1750 before I actually received any feedback regarding my returns?.. The tax consultant was also extremely rude when I took this up with her, and offered no honest apology. Needless to say, I then waited 2-3 months for advice or recommendtions from GVR accounting, as to why things were taking so long. I mailed the consultant on numerous occasions only to be told that it was under review, and that I would have to wait for SARS as there was nothing I could do. I asked them to send me the login details that they used, which I was told that as an independant practitioner service, they filed all returns under one login and that this would not work. I decided then to contact SARS myself, to which I had to quote my SARS number. They were actually extremely helpful, and I was told to follow up weekly, which i did. This led to numerous case numbers and eventually to the complaints department which they suggested. This took in the region of about a month. After the complaint was laid, I was paid out a week later.

What really annoys me is that during this entire process I was haggeled constantly to settle their invoice, which I delayed. What service was I paying for?? R1750 to simply file a tax return that takes 25 minutes?.. Absolute robbery and easy money! I also got the impression that their corporate clients are more important, and that the little guy is merely the cream on top... easy money. I even asked for a rebate on the R1750 fee, by mail as I was paying for a service that was non-existent, to which i was told.." Sorry, but that is my fee..".. Really?... And due to withholding payment I was even handed over to a black listing company (9th December) and given 20 days to make payment or else!...I made payment today...11 days later. (let's see if they remove me). Well, will never be using their non-existent service again... Be warned, this company will make easy money off you, and don't care about your better interests!....
