I purchased a Proton X70 1.5t Premium from CMH Little Falls in May 2025. This review is a warning regarding their highly deceptive sales methodology and failure from management to meaningfully rectify major errors. Before buying this demo vehicle, I asked the Used Cars Sales Manager, about parts and dealer support. I was explicitly assured parts were readily available, that CMH Little Falls could service the vehicle, and that it included a full service plan history. Salesperson, Reeza, later verified the blank service book was an administrative error, but that the service history would be on their system. When multiple warranty issues occurred (360 camera, Bluetooth, window controls, passenger seat controls), CMH Little Falls turned me away, stating they are NOT a registered Proton dealer. Their Randburg branch exposed the truth: the car has zero service history on record, no active service plan, parts are unavailable, and the model is discontinued. Dealer Principal Scott Headrick and Sales Manager Nasan have handled the fallout shockingly: They stayed silent for a month after I offered a fair, budget-assisted vehicle swap. During a replacement test drive, Reeza ran the car out of petrol, leaving me stranded on the roadside for 45 minutes. They then quoted me on an alternative vehicle (Haval H6) priced R90,000 HIGHER than their own website and AutoTrader adverts to covertly force me to pay for the shortfall of their Proton error. For over four weeks, the Sales Manager, Dealer Principal, and Customer Relations Manager have largely ghosted my correspondence, replying only upon repeated follow-up mails. I strongly advise consumers to take their business elsewhere.
