TERRIBLE ORDEAL

I am writing to you concerning the Hackett Polos which you returned to the Hackett Store Sandton City. The manager – Gerhard – has advised me of your dissatisfaction with the Polos and the polos have been forwarded to our Head Office for analysis. In particular, an area of damage to the Polos was pointed out to me.(The polos were stretched after one wash. I have measured your polos against the polos of the same style instore and there is no difference in size. The size is exactly the same)

Of course, we are always distressed when one of our customers is not entirely happy with a Hackett product. On such an occasion, we endeavour to discover the cause of the problem and if it is found to be as a result of a garment flaw, we are more than happy to compensate our customer accordingly. In this case, however, after examining the polos we have determined that the afore-mentioned damage was not a manufacturing fault. Since the damage occurred subsequent to the purchase of the garment, we are unable to take back this item.

I regret that we are unable to assist you in this matter. However, if there is any other way we can be of service, please do not hesitate to contact either the store in or myself.
