Hamleys fourways mall has the worst staff i ever encountered. I also made a complaint on their website a month ago and no body even contacted me regarding the complaint and now again I encountered an issue at this store where the staff is busy having a jol of a time rather than helping any customers. My child is waiting for the train which is parked off for 10 minutes. Even asked two staff members and they said the driver is coming. After going back in the store the driver is busy talking to his friends . After i got annoyed and started complaining and wanted to see the manager, i was told the manager went shopping at wespack. I waited another 5 minutes (total 15) the 1 guy who was riding the bikes all this time came to drive tne train. This is ridiculous.

Head office delivers bad customer service Wasien Khan. My son bought a bubble blaster gun from the Hamleys in the V&A Waterfront for himself at the end of 2023. The product was defective and we could not return it, and we asked family to do it for us. They sent us the credit note via WhatsApp and now Hamleys head office needs the original document after it was confirmed with the store in V&A that the photo and number of the credit note will do. Now Hamles head office refuses to honor the credit note. All my son has wanted for the last year is to have his product changed. As this was his Christmas gift last year for himself.

I'm very disgusted at the way i was treated by staff at Hamley's Sandton , i went to purchase a LOL doll for my daughter on saturday, i paid and on my way out , already on the escalators to the mall , a young man came running after me ,asking for an invoice, what puzzles me is that i have never seen staff at Hamleys asking for invoice from their customers , was this done to me because a black person is always a suspect ? Do they honestly think I would walk into Hamleys to ***** a lousy LOL doll, I'm very disappointed at the way they treated me , this not only shocked my daughter but it also brought eyes to me from other customers, im shocked to the core and will never ever purchase from them.

Extremely disappointed in Hamleys V& A Waterfront. I have tried numerous times to contact the shop on the contact number indicated on the receipt, unfortunately this number never seems to be answered and goes to some sort of voice mail. On the 22nd of April 2023, I bought my son an HX 750 6 Function drone, as a gift to take home to Mossel Bay. This seems to have been the biggest mistake and worst decision ever made, not only DOES THE DRONE NOT WORK, but shortly after my purchase, at this specific store, my credit card was cloned and various *****ulent purchases made. It also seemed as if I was being billed twice for the purchase on my bank account!! Luckily my bank was quick to respond! However I have not had a single response from Hamleys, with regards to the purchase, return of the drone, refund or the credit card ***** that seems to have taken place right after my purchase at their store. Its the worst experience ever!!

I’ve been to Hamleys 3 times in the last 2 weeks and despite the amazing toys and fun displays, the shop is filthy. The Thomas the Tank Engine has a broken (and dangerously sharp) steering wheel, the big red bus has had the same dirty tissue in it for 2 weeks and a collection of filth at the bottom of the steering area. Doesn’t inspire much confidence in the Covid cleaning and sterilizing protocols.

I’ve been to Hamleys 3 times in the last 2 weeks and despite the amazing toys and fun displays, the shop is filthy. I made a purchase which successfully went off from my end and confirmed by FNB app of payment. The branch system froze and they refused to hand over goods claiming the system is not reflecting. I had to wait for the manager to contact head office and that process took forever. This process was not done in front of me. I was left at the counter with little reassurance for half an hour. They could not cancel nor provide any written proof to address the matter but asked that I pay again. They asked me to wait until they confirm with head office and the bank. The service was pathetic. The matter was handled by store manager Ntabi.

My excited 7 year old is looking at which superhero figurines she wants to buy. Drive from Benoni for her to look and chose. A staff member pushed in between my daughter and the shelf with the figurines and starts rearranging them. No social distance and just simply pushes in, I front of a 7 year old!!! Wow, thank you Hamleys. Certainly not how we were treated in London the many tones we’ve been to the main store. Seems we off to Toy Kingdom to spend our money instead!!

I went to Hamley fourways today to go return the gift i bought for my son, i was told they cannot help me because the manager went out shopping and they do not know what time she will be back, all staff were very rude and just laughing at me, i waited over 40 minutes when the manager returned to the shop same attitude as well and told me she cannot give me a refund or voucher because the gift is opened, even though it was returned with its original box etc, eventually after my persistant she gave me a cash voucher,... i want nothing to do with this shop anymore, i want my money back i cannot be treated in this manner while i spend my own money - you really need to assess the type of employees you have, i really lost it today and i chose to never go to this shop - just give me my money and take back your cash refund voucher please.......
