This is one of the most happiest time of my life I was able to get back after being ripped by my previous trader. THIS HOTEL OPERATES AND DISGUISED AS A HOTEL BUT IT IS A BROTHEL. I PAID R20 000 DEPOSIT IN NOVEMBER 2022 AND THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME. THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY POSITIVE REVIEW ABOUT THIS HOTEL AND IT CONTINUE TO ROB PEOPLE OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND NATIONAL CONSUMER COMMISSION INVESTIGATE AND CLOSE THIS HOTEL. IT MUST DEREGISTERED AND CANCELLED FROM ALL WEBSITES OF ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS. I HAVE ADDRESSED MY QUERY WITH THE NCC AND EVENTUALLY TO NATIONAL CONSUMER TRIBUNAL.

We checked in at the hotel on the 3rd of January 2023 and checked out on the 7th of January 2023. We went down to Cape Town to pick up our daughter who was flying in from Germany and planned on staying for a few days. We did that and our daughter had bought us 2 wines from France and a lot of chocolates and biscuits from Germany. We were excited for our gifts and the fact that we were going to enjoy them back at home in East London. On the day of checking out, we checked out in the morning and had plans to go to Robben Island before driving out to the Eastern Cape. We did that and as we were out to head out of Cape town we realised that we had left out gift and medication for my daughter and her cousin's. We called her cousin and my sister to quickly go to the hotel to pick up the stuff. To their surprise, the medication was still there but the Wines and chocolates and biscuits were gone. We enquired with the manager at the exact time and we were told that an investigation will be carried out. Apparently investigation was done but our things were not found I specifically remember when we checked out, the security guy was handed our apartment key to go up to it and check if everything is fine. When I mentioned that they should check with the security guy, then I was told that the matter will be handed over to the security manager and will be contacted No contact as yet and we have since found out that the manager that was working there and also new at the time has left their employment due to the crooks that she has been dealing with at the hotel.

You leave me with no option but to report Happy Rhino Hotel Agoda to HelloPeter to report you as fraudsters, I did not confirm any bookings with both your Agoda and Happy Rhino Hotels, your booking terms and conditions indicate that if my reservation is not confirmed within 24 hours I must consider it cancelled. I didn't confirm nor showed up to the Hotel. Please provide me with proof of my confirmation, by email a phone call. And the audacity to claim as alleged by Christine from Agoda that Happy Rhino Hotel claimed that i showed up and complained about their premises where dirty, can they provide with proof that i did show up. On the 31st your company reserved an amount of R 20 734.56 from my bank, and I reversed that debit order, to further indicate my cancellation, but still on the 4th of Jan you went ahead and debited my account, no communications whatsoever, this is theft and violation of the POPI Act and use of my personal account without my authorization. I have tried my level best to resolve this matter between myself with both companies, both parties are taking me from pillar to post, it seems like they are both scammers. To prove that they are scammers: every time I speak to a different person, promising to get back to me and none of these people calling me back. On Saturday the 7th Jan 2023 just after I found out that Agoda debited my account I called the Hotel, I spoke to Thandi she told me the hotel is not responsible for my debit, I must call Agoda. Thandi promised to take my matter to her manager and will call me back or send me an email, she never fulfilled any of those promises. I called Agoda I spoke to Paul, she said she will have to get confirmation from the Hotel that I did not utilize their facility, and she will call me back and she is sorry about that, she never called me back. I tried calling the hotel several times with no one answering my calls later in the evening the same Saturday a guy by a name of Calvin or Iven answered he promised to take my matter to his manager and will call me back he did not call me back, On the 10th Jan 2023, this afternoon I spoke to Jackie, she said the same story never called me back, Just now I spoke to Christine, she is sending me this email, after explaining to her that their terms and conditions are not clear and misleading that reservations are cancelled within 24 hours if not confirmed. I asked her she must also request proof of email or recording that I did go ahead made confirmation that would like reserve the booking made, which she has failed to provide with she is sending this nasty email that she regrets to tell me I will not be refunded. At first she asked if I will accept a refund in a form of a voucher by using their services in the next 6 months, I have told her no I want my money back she then said it will take 30 days before I get it she first has to confirm with the hotel if they must refund me funny enough Paul said it will take 48 hours, to be reversed you can see that these people are playing games are working together to defraud people. To make matters worse they still go ahead debit my account after I have blocked them, so they are using my bank credentials as when they wish without my approval. My case proves true that they are scammers I just checked reviews about both parties has bad reputation which goes as far as 2017, had I known that I will fall trap I would have checked reviews with both parties before I had even completed their process forms. PLEASE REFUND ALL MY MONIES.

We booked the Rhino hotel on 29 December 2022 but when we got there the place was not as advertised on their website (it was bad). When we got there they told us that they actually booked us at the Sister hotel which is Sleepy Lion just down the road. When we got their we asked to view the rooms before we actually paid for the booking. Same thing the place was not as advertised on their webiste, they said the place was new but the stove was so old you can see that it wwas used a couple of times; so ask them to cancel the booking because there was not way that we were going to pay that amount for that kind of accommodation. The entrance at the Rhino hotel was shocking, the one couch (yellow one) was so dirty. There were to other couples who also booked in at the same time as us but they went to view the rooms at the Rhino hotel and they came back and demanded a refund (which they received). We left and booked another hotel and later that evenign an amount of R7590 went off my account and they never cancelled the booking as we requested. I started chatting to them on whatsapp and they promised that they would give us the refund but when I followed up a very rude person responded by seeing they never promised me a refund (I have all the conversations on whatsapp). I am not going to leave this matter because I see a lot of people are complaining and the service is poor. I will be sending out health inspectors to go and view the place; the will make the call if the place is up to standard or not. The worst part is the pictures that they advertised; it is a real scam. The only form of communication on their website is a whatsapp number; there is no direct line or email address to contact them.

I made a holiday booking with Happy Rhino Hotel on 11 November 2022 and paid a deposit of R20000 on 14 November 2022. The booking was informed by the misleading adverti*****t of the venue online. I subsequently read on the reviews of the accommodation and 75% are extremely negative. I further visited the place on 06 December 2022 and the comments from the reviews were confirmed. I immediately instructed Global Travel Alliance (GTASA) to cancel my booking of Happy Rhino Hotel and request for refund. Myself and Ms Charmaine from GTASA has been interacting with the management of Happy Rhino Hotel since 06 December 2022 for a refund, with no success and cooperation from them. The attitude they have displayed thus far does not reflect the business ethics and principles that they should uphold. We booked and paid a deposit then saw the terrible reviews on the hotel, my husband flew to Cape Town to go see the place. He was met with a smell and we realised that this is not place we can take my parents and kids to. We asked them for our money back but they refusing and now also they not taking our calls or responding,
