From the moment i phoned the Hayes Motor Service department , Clayton and Hannes ( the service department Manager) , were extremely professional, and at that moment i realized that my Isuzu would be in good hands. Throughout the entire process of repairing my vehicle, they kept me updated and all i can say is 100% shout out to these two gentlemen. It is clear that there is great management structures in this company. 5/5 I can highly recommend this company!

I took my 1993 Isuzu Trooper V6 , it started, but the brakes and handbrakes did not work. I bought brake pads for my van at Hayes parts dept and asked them if i could bring in my van for the repairs. I brought it in with a car trailer and drove it from the trailer into their workshop. I knew it had a lot of rust undercarriage, and their mechanic also pointed it out. They told me to come fetch my van and the costs was double what i budgeted for. When i drove the van home , i was`nt satisfied with the results, because the brakes and handbrakes hardly work. I went to tell them about this, and they said i must bring it back. I drove the van to their workshop in Stikland. After a week they asked me to fetch my van. Arriving at the workshop, they told me the van cannot start. The mechanic said it can be low fuel pressure, and i knew my fuel pipes could be contaminated with rust. I asked them to see if they can get my van started, and left it there. After a week they asked me to come fetch my van because they could`nt get it started. I had to rent a bakkie and trailer to fetch my van. They did`nt even offered me assistance to help get the van to my place. I stay less than 5km from their workshop in Kuilsriver. I am not a mechanic, but i took off the fuel tank , cleaned it, bought a new fuel pump and sender unit , and fitted it. Still NO Start. I checked for spark and fitted 6 new spark plugs. The Van started instantly. My problem is . they are Isuzu specialists. How could their main mechanic not find the fault for the NO Start. I posted this on social media and i got a lot of response from people who had the same poor service deal from this company. Like some one posted , look like they never touched my vehicle. They just cranked and cranked the motor and i ask them not to mess up my starter. I am going to pursue this bad service vigorously, also approaching Small claims court.

My bakkie was taken on Monday for service and to replace timing gears. Workshop manager Hannes informed me that there was a knock in the engine and that they need to open the engine. On Thuesday I phoned and he said that he has other work to do before he can attend to my bakkie and that he will speak on Wednesday morning to me. Wednesday I phoned at around 14h00 ( again to hear the status of my bakkie and he raised his voicesince I didn't hear from him in the morning) to hear the status and he said again that he still has other work to do before he can attend to my bakkie. Thursday at 12h00 I phoned again and Hannes raised his voiceover the phone and said that he has told me that he has other work to do before he can attend to my bakkie. I decided to rather go and fetch my bakkie and to take it to another mechanic. At the office Hannes started to scream and become aggressive infront of my wife and the person behind the counter. Hannes have no customer service and since he screamed at me infront of my wife i would recommend him to be fired!! My wife was shocked to see that a manager behave like that. I want to ask Hayes Motors why must my bakkie stand for a week before being attended to? I used that bakkie for my business.

I app**** to buy a Chevy Utility at the dealer. They offered very good service and communication was excellent form their team. Fast with the application for loan, had it with in a day. Unfortunately some things on my side did not work out and could not go through with the deal. What I really appreciated was that no pressure was placed on me to buy. They gave me time to decide even when there was another buyer waiting. I am really sad I could not do business at this stage with the dealer, but hey that is life.

Never is a long time, but never again. We booked a Bakkie for a one-day repair job. Constant follow-up in the afternoon to see when and if we can pick it up. Spoke to George who always (every time I phoned) hands the phone to the next person, with no interest in assisting. Brandon at the service desk, who refuses to speak to me (yes, we could hear all background communication over the phone) says he is in a meeting with the boss and promises to phone us first thing in the morning. Never happens. I got hold of George again the next day, just to again be handed over, this time to Hannes who is willing to assist. Hannes then told me that they haven't started with the bakkie and blamed load-shedding. I informed Hayes that I will be picking up the bakkie and that I simply don't trust them to do a half-decent job after poor service, misinformation, overhearing disrespectful discussions on the phone, nonchalant attitude and non-communication from day one. Asked that the boss phones me back, receptionist 'can't' give the number out and promised the boss, Walter Hayes will phone me back. Again asked Walter to phone us when the bakkie was picked up. Still waiting on that call. You are probably better off paying a few rands more at a reputable dealer.
