Dishonest contractor
I hired Pretoria HD Painters to fix my roof and subsequently paint my roof and house. Neither has been done and yet all the paint (160 litres) I bought is now finished. After a month of asking the owner, Heine Van den Berg, to come and discuss the status of the job with me, he still hasn't pitched (He just keeps promising that he'll come to see me). In the interim, he got some random guy off the street who doesn't know what he's doing to come and further waste my material that his initial team wasted. I now have a half painted roof, walls that were painted without any prep work being done (e.g. no s****ing and sanding, just painting directly on old paint that was already peeling off the wall), a palisade fence that is half painted, my paving is full of paint and 160 litres of paint gone. Heine Van den Berg advertises on facebook, he is based in Pta North but works all over Pta. Heine begged us for money to pay his workers and we paid him in full and thats when we last saw him. He also requested a deposit for the painting of the house and we paid him. Please be vigilant for Heine Van den Berg and his company, Pretotia HD Painters, he is extremely dishonest and unprofessional and needless to say, he takes your money and does not deliver.
