We as an electrical supplier, purchased two 1200w bar heaters from Herholdts Bloemfontein, and both lasted less than a month before breaking. In just two months, both failed in exactly the same way. When I returned them, I was told the warranty only covers the heater itself and not the bars that broke — which makes no sense, as the bars are the main part that provides the heat. I received no refund or replacement. The product is of very poor quality, and I would not recommend anyone to buy it. Extremely disappointed in both the product and the after-sales service.

Drove 261km to collect a battery that was fixed for me. (After having to struggle for close to 6 weeks just for them to accept the Sunsynk battery that had an issue.) Upon arrival I was refused entry to the Randburg premises for 'not having made an appointment' This, despite the fact that I did in fact make an appointment 2 days in advance, and my invoice for repairs was paid well in advance of them actually doing the repair. So I had to drive back, another 261km, empty handed. Still waiting for an apology...

I drove 80kms to Randburg to buy goods from them. At the gate the security guard told me that I need to make an appointment to go in. What BS what a waste of time and petrol Typical SA level of service these days

Physically visited the Randburg outlet looking for solar panel mounting clips. I had a sample of what I wanted. Reception said they had the clips and I paid. (Invoice 275448 dated 17 January 2022). Good service thus far. Went with sales staff to warehouse and found clips in stock were wrong size. A refund was promised via deposit to my bank account. I filled in the necessary form for the deposit and the lady to whom I paid copied me in on the internal refund request email. Its now a year and I am unable to find any record of the refund in my account. I have made two written follow-up and these have gone unanswered. I have the relevant emails. This is not good customer service. Not likely to deal with the company in future
