My vehicle exhaust has developed a slight blow due to corrosion and the passage of time. The car was placed on the lift and I was able to see for myself what was required. I'm quite competent with Oxytaceteline welding, but currently don't have the equipment. I was informed that I will need an entire new exhaust system, then further informed that my vehicle (a Nissan x trail) must be an imported model, because their catalogue only shows the vehicle as having the exhaust on the right hand side. They don't, I checked... So that requires the whole system to be removed and sent off to the factory so they can replicate it... As this is my sole means of transport, they eventually stated that it may be possible to obtain a couple of other boxes and weld them on, if I didn't mind a bit of extra noise... For R8000. On the dot. I've heard of employee incentivisation, but really? Anyway, R400 later by the roadside, and it's working fine. Maybe not for as long as a new system, but good enough.
