Amazing special. Wish it was advertised! Outside it says buy 2 Castle light draughts, get one free... Turns out if you but one you get one free.... If everyone heard about this there would be more than 6 people here

Misrepresentation Hogshead Douglasdale
Announced for everyone to enter into a competition. No T&C's, even after requested afterwards to show us to the contrary. After we won they said it was conditional on downloading the app. They refused the winning price until the next day but we are not in the area.

food is great
I would certainly make the effort to go there again. So I'll be honest, the prices are quite high, but really, the quality makes up for it. The food was amazing and I did the beer taster that has 6 locally brewed beers. The service was quite good, very friendly waiter.

Hogshead Douglasdale
I stopped in at Hogshead Douglasdale for a beer while I waited for some friends. First there is no Castle Draught, which I can live with, so I ordered a Castle Lite Draught which was warm when it eventually came. I ordered another one whilst I was still waiting and I noticed that the pub accross the road seemed to be enjoying a lot more support than where I was, so I decided to change the venue and advised my friends. I asked for the bill, and much to my shock and surprise they charge R43.00 for a warm Castle Lite draught!!!!!!! I understand that Covid has had an effect on the entertainment industry, however I do not expect the customer to be taken advantage of so blatantly!!! Now I know why the venue accross the road is so much busier, because they are encouraging repeat business, which clearly Hogshead does not need to do. We will enjoy the rest of the evening at Gathering of the Clans!!!

Dissapointing Service At Hogshead Rock Cottage
We stood in the pouring rain at Hogshead Rock Cottage's door @19h15. The bouncer looked at us and didn't even bother to explain why it is closed. He just changed the sign from 'open' to 'closed'. We wanted to attend the last night of Brufest. We ended up hungry, wet and disappointed. On the internet it shows they close at 24h00. The least they could have done is just give us cover from the rain until it ended.

Hogshead Douglasdale My bae and I as well as our many friends would agree that we miss your hospitality. The many wonderful times we have spent at your establishment are greatly missed during this time. If you ever find yourself at hogs, get their pulled pork burger. Absolutely amazing
