I booked a room in the Backpackers section on the 25th February 2024 and this booking was confirmed immediately after the money was paid. On the same day of the confirmation I cancelled by email, but was ignored.
I have sent at least 3 emails thereafter and used both contact numbers to no avail. I once got through to a Lady who asked me to cancel at Booking.com since I booked online. I did not make this booking through Booking.com, but the call was mysteriously cut off during our conversation.
Times without number, I have left voice messages, all with no response. I may now be told that I cannot cancel now as the booking is for the 29th March to 2nd April 2024. My emails however will indicate that my first cancellation was on 25th February, well outside of the 30 days. I have now booked a Chalet at the same resort through Booking.com from 28th March to 1 April. I will be physically at the resort with the proof of email cancellation of the first booking and I will demand a refund. What type of establishment does not respond to emails?
