What a piece of ****. Second one in 2 years. Same problem, motor stops working. My last one I baught in August last year from takealot. Now broken. I had it with Hoover. You beter answer me or I will be taking you to the Ombudsman .

Hoover brand is not what it used to be. I purchased my second Hoover vacuum in September 2025 from Amazon on special. Noticed suction pressure was very hard and the vacuum pipes did were so tight you could break your back trying to separate them. I contacted Amazon but they could exchange it and referred me to Hoover..I have completed their contact form.and so did my wife on numerous occasions but nobody contacted me..Four months later there is a strong burn smell.and this after regularly cleaning the vaccum.bin and pipes and filters.I contacted their call centre and was referred to their service centre but could not inform me if repairs would be conducted and if it was all.coveres or not..Item still under warranty as not six months yet . The shoddy type of manufacturing has led to this and stuck with a seemingly burnt out vaccum and a dusty carpet..Hoover please come fetch this dud of a vacuum and tell me what's wrong as it's still under warranty. I do not even know where you guys are as it reflects two address on your site for my province.

Unfortunately, I’ve had a very disappointing after-sales experience with Hoover. I have been struggling to get a response for the past six business days and was promised feedback from both an agent and a manager, but to date I have received nothing. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing directly through the Hoover website, as the returns and support process appears to be extremely difficult and unresponsive.

Bought a Hoover upright vacuum end of 2024, a few weeks later the belt snapped. Since then I have tried to get a replacement but told by Hoover to contact HOLB for a spare, but they don't have stock and after months of trying they have stopped responding. How can this be resolved????

I bought a HOOVER HAND VACUUM CLEANER. When the battery was done, and I tried to buy a new one NOBODY in SA Stock the battery. You are forced to buy a new Vacuum cleaner. I wasted a lot of time money and fuel driving around. There is n way to get hold of Hoover SA. Just a hint to the PUBLIC DO NOT BUY A HOOVER HANDHELD RECHARGEABLE VACUUM CLEANER.

very bad probably deliberate bad design holding clips made of junk plastic that break been consumed for 2 days now trying to get the replacement clip impossible to get the part not even the biggest parts supplier in the country has laategan there system says no parts available hoover sells vacumes but does not supply parts yes i will throw it away but i will never buy hoover again be warned shocking incompetant company hollopet full of complaints regarding spare parts contact andre 0832712100

I bought a Hoover Vacuum cleaner from Takealot last year and EXACTLY a week before its 12-month warranty, the thing broke. (motor blew) I would have thought that Takealot/ Hoover would replace it with a new one seeing as it has a 12-month warranty, or give me my money back, but no, it gets sent to the supplier to be fixed. It's been 19 working days and I still have no vacuum cleaner... They said today it would be delivered on the 14th of September, which will make it 22 working days without a vacuum cleaner! I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in Takealot's service and for sticking with Hoover. In my opinion, they should get rid of Hoover or the specific Hoover Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner. There's been only bad reviews regarding this vacuum cleaner anyway so why even sell it to your consumers?? I will think twice before ordering an appliance from Takealot or a Hoover for that matter. The returns policy on bigger, more expensive items/ Appliances is appalling. And no replacement from Hoover either. I still need to see if the thing even works after being "repaired".

Shocking News. Bought a brand New Upright vacuum cleaner from Builderswarehouse George. 1 month later the scope handle broke off inside the machine, brittle thin plastic. I called Builderswarehouse who tried to call there supplier, unfortunately the lady got back & said there is no way fixing the handle or replacing the handle as Hoover SA does not carry stock. The machine should have Spares if they want there products to stay around. I called Hoover SA giving them the opportunity to sell me a replacement modele that I would have gladly paid the difference in the models but to my shock they would not! I Will never purchase another Hoover product again. A Product Name I once trusted & love now is not Trustworthy. No maintenance stock to repair your products is unacceptable. I now sit with a very expensive white elephant Hoover SA! Dont import products you cant keep back up replacement parts. Poor Customer Service!
