At my current work place, I have to listen to this **** radio station from opening time to closing time every day and so I feel I need to vent a bit and give my honest opinion on this station. The music is ok because its old skool 80s, 90s and sometimes 2000s music which isnt bad. I prefer rock, nu metal, heavy metal, etc but i dont mind listening to retro music like this. The main problem is that they play a playlist of about between 30 to 50 songs, maybe less, on constant repeat multiple times a week every single week. They rarely play any new or different songs and a lot of the songs they do play tend to repeat the same lyrics more than 4 or 5 times in a row which gets very irritating very quickly if you have no choice but to listen to it multiple times a week but I guess thats just how old skool is unfortunately. They also only play 1 or 2 songs from any artist but said artist(s) produced more amazing music that is fit for radio that they could play but they only play 1 or 2 specific songs. This radio station, like many others, is basically a 1-trick pony and they need to look at expanding their playlist greatly. All the people who say this radio station is the best, clearly do not listen to this station for 8+ hours everyday and I envy those people.

Getting a bit concerned why does the DJ need to quote the moto after every song DJ Ursula .her dialog is too predictable with exactly same thing everyday. Gets annoying .as for Simon Hill I think his script writer needs to stop the lame jokes maybe get another script writer because he is lame .not funny at all .Maybe invest in AI DJs to replace them .or midnight show music is the best however

A while ago I asked help from hot cares for my brother who is over 60years of age. He is an air con technician, but cannt find a job due to cataracts in his one eye causing blindness. I was told that he did not qualify for help. The very next day R40000 was donated to a person with rabbits to spay and neuter the rabbits. I am still trying to come to grips with where the priorities are, helping a man going blind or a bunch of rabbits being sterilized

From the very first time I tuned into Hot 102.7, I was hooked—line, and sinker! Their impact on the community is nothing short of humbling as well as what they do for the community is heartwarming, the care they show and give. And the music? Absolutely unbeatable. The staff and DJs are phenomenal and have remained consistently amazing over the years. I haven’t changed the station in 7 or 8 years! Hot 102.7 plays in every corner of my home and at work—it’s the soundtrack to my everyday life. I’m proud to call myself a Hot 102.7ner. Honestly, I’d rather go without my mobile phone than miss out on listening to Hot 102.7. Thats also the reason why we advertise with Hot 102.7 they provide the best service and their rates are reasonable. As Tina Turner would sing, they are SIMPLY THE BEST!

I used to enjoy listening to Hot FM for its unique mix of music. Initially, I was pleasantly surprised to hear 80s hits during the day, even though I still got my dose of classical music in the evenings. It felt like a win-win situation: enjoying my favorite 80s jams without needing to switch stations. However, lately, the experience has become frustrating. The station seems to spend an excessive amount of time promoting itself. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard the “Voted Best Station 2024” claim—it’s repeated so often that it feels less like an achievement and more like overkill. On top of that, while the charity work done by Hot FM, especially through initiatives like Hot Cares Christmas, is commendable and heartwarming, dedicating 4–5 minutes multiple times a day to the same message is excessive. While I understand the importance of PR and community exposure, hearing the same content repeatedly every 30 minutes has gone from inspiring to downright irritating. Finally, the signature deep Hot FM voice used during classical music segments doesn’t suit the genre at all. It detracts from the elegance and tranquility that classical music should bring. As someone who used to enjoy the station, I hope Hot FM finds a better balance in its programming. Overpromoting and mismatched tones risk alienating loyal listeners like me.

When Hot 1027 started up, i enjoyed the station. But recently your increasing infatuation with marketing "Gambling" and "Hotcares" every minute between songs has driven me away. Casinos have huge marketing budgets generated from player losses and Hot 1027 is content with taking a cut of their budgets. Yes, you promote responsible gambling (by law) but it doesn't wash. Luckily for me, I have discovered a FANTASTIC 24hr online Radio Station that has ZERO adverts, no plugging gambling or hot cares. Just pure, clean listenable classics from dozens of seasoned DJ's that donate their time to play long forgotten classic tunes. Goodbye Hot 1027.
