Amazing service! Booking was seamless – they are incredibly organised. Convenient packing and unpacking, especially for busy individuals. They go to great lengths to protect all your valuables and the staff is friendly. Would recommend to anyone who is very busy or wants to avoid the admin that comes with moving.

Househoppers is a company that supposedly helps homeowners cut through red-tape to sort out council issues relating to property valuations and rates issues. However, they draw you in with an initial non-refundable payment to start the work on your issue/problem, spend many weeks "dealing with councils directly" and after about 6 weeks, they send you a long and extensive list of exactly what the council has charged you for which anybody can easily obtain on their own in about ten minutes going on-line to your own account. They then suggest that if you want to continue with your complaint/problem/issue, you need to send even larger amounts of non-refundable payments which steadily increase by about R1000 per option. There is no question in my mind that "Househoppers" found online at www.househoppers.co.za is a **** and a *****ulent company that is either in bed with the councils they deal with, or just using the council as a means to entice unsuspecting property owners. I handed them absolute proof of why I needed to question my re-evaluation on my property, being that the council is charging me for my neighbours property value who's house is on a double stand and 700 square meters larger than my own, which is also on video and with blatant proof of their error, and with the return result I got from Househoppers, it's blatantly obvious they did not even look at my submission. Do yourself a big favour - stay away from "Househoppers" and rather keep trying to work on the council yourself even though we all know what a nightmare it is.

We were so thankful to have Martha and her magnificent team move our larger household items locally in Cape Town at the end of May. It turned out to be a rainy day so we expected the worst. Martha and her team were incredible: they were efficient, professional and caring and turned what is potentially a really difficult day into a positive uplifting experience. We recommend them wholeheartedly. Thank you!!

We recently had the displeasure of dealing with House Hoppers. We would absolutely never, ever recommend them to anyone. STAY AWAY!!! When we started our engagements earlier this year, they were fast, friendly, efficient and helpful. We were still in the process of finalising the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home so there was uncer*****y around when we would move, but they were accommodating and moved our dates around a few times. Then came the time to move, on the day before the move we were contacted by the sales person to tell us we must pay an extra R10 000.00 for our move, despite us having already paid around R75 000.00 for our move, which by the way we had to paid in full upfront, which makes sense now, so they had our money before the move, giving us no recourse if anything went wrong. We refused to pay the additional R10 000.00 and eventually in the late afternoon, they informed us that the move was still on. The R75 000.00 we paid was meant to be for a turnkey solution, in which they came in, packed all of our belongings, moved our belongings and unpacked our belongings over 2-days so that we could be living seamlessly by the end of the second day. From our side there were certain belongings we could not have them unpack as there is still some repair work we are busy with, nevertheless, we made them aware of this and ensured we indicated which belongings these would be. What happened in reality, they decided which of our belongings should go where and which don't need to be unpacked or placed in the places they are meant to be. This has left us searching for our belongings all over, unpacking and unwrapping, and moving belongings that were meant to be done by them. In addition to this as we now progress through getting our home in a livable state, there are items that we cannot find or that have been broken, some broken items they are aware of and committed to replace or repair while we were moving, but we are not holding our breath on this as we know we will likely never hear from them again regarding these belongings. House Hoppers claimed that they would take care of us and our belongings and make this a stress- free experience. This experience has been the exact opposite, full of stress, very unpleasant, and very unprofessional. Anyone out there who is planning on using House Hoppers, rethink your decision. Retrospectively, using a “bakkie brigade” would have been a better option and so much cheaper.

I have to say, HOUSEHOPPERS made my move so easy and seamless. They took all the stress out of moving. They were professional and communicated with me the entire way. I was amazed to find a company that offers packing up your home, moving all your stuff and then they unpack your home at the new place. PLUS, they do it so efficiently! I am just amazed and wowed by this company!!

Unfortunately I can't share good stories like others for House Hoppers. What started off well with great service has ended with me having to phone and follow up for months after our move for HH to replace damaged and lost goods through negligence and 2 months later I am still fighting with them!! They were greedy in that they tried to move our stuff and pack our landlords stuff in one day and ended up damaging furniture and goods and losing several things! Dealing with Katherine Hook their GM is a nightmare and she reneges on her commitments and when you try talk to Cheri the owner/director she's not available!! 0 stars from me!
