They say if it's too good to be true, it's a **** and here is another example of how a fool (me) and his money are easily parted! The website looks so legitimate and they have a "Contact Us" area. Obviously, looking for a specific puppy, I Googled and this site popped up immediately. I requested them to contact me and got a WhatsApp the following morning and then an email as well - my first red flag should have been that the email is from Gmail... They seem very nice and engaging and doesn't immediately ask for payment. Instead, they send you photos of your puppy and I even got a video of a playful pup. THEN, they request information from you - Your name, which bank you bank with (important) and then sends you an email outlining the costs of the pup and delivery to your door as they are based on Kuruman and you are unable to see or collect the pup yourself. They then ask for immediate payment to an FNB account (so much for FICA): 6314 7420 052 registered, supposedly, in the name of Gert Christoffel Grobler. Because everything looks and seems legit and because you are trusting human being, you do as requested. One would think that the **** has run its course at this point, but wait, there's more! They continue in conversation with you and send you (****) transfer of ownership documents (second red flag but the damage is done) and tell you that the pup will be delivered to the animal courier first thing in the morning. So you wait for the next morning. You get another WhatsApp saying that the pup has been handed over to the courier and that you should let them know when the courier makes contact with you - second part of the ****. The courier phones you incessantly and then promptly sends you an email stating that the crate the puppy was delivered in is unsafe for air travel and you need to fork out another R8000 to R14000 for a proper crate, depending on whether you want to buy of rent the crate. You will never see the puppy as there is no puppy, despite the story of them shipping the puppy with 5kg of food, health certificate, and a blanket with its mother's scent on it. PLEASE, go on the official KUSA website and only deal with breeders they recommend and are registered with them, no matter what pup you're looking for. I was an idiot and I will never see my money again - I opened a case of ***** and I am working with my bank, but even the nice Police Officer told me not to hold my breath. It is exactly the same modus operandi as www.kusapuppies4sale.co.za - Hello Peter should have been my first stop but now I know and have paid my school fees...
