I got a gecko geyser system solution installed by I solar solution. The system worked for a month or 2, since then it begun showing errors. The system last worked in November 2025, I have communicated with them on it has been 2 months of them not showing up and the system is not working.

We had a 2nd battery installed that was faulty by iSolar Solutions and was paid for in full. We were told that the 2nd battery will be replaced as it seemed to be faulty. The owner Paul does not take phone calls nor does he reply to messages. What does it have to take to get our replacement battery?????

When it comes to inverter, panels and battery backup systems don't use these guys. They have sold me a new Fivestar 10Kw inverter that kept tripping. It was sent in to the supplier the first time together with the box and papers for repair. It was there for more than 3 weeks where after I received it back without the box and papers or any report indicating what the problem was or what was fixed. In July this year it started tripping again. It was sent in again for repairs and I received it back today after more than 3 weeks without any report indicating what the problem was or what was fixed. In February 2025 I paid for one additional new 5Kw battery for R 20 800. After waiting for 45 days for the battery I eventually received a used battery. When I queried this Paul ***ner) said that the supplier did not have new stock and the he will replace the used battery in due course when the supplier get new stock. This never materialised and when I confronted him today he made denied this. As I could not trust this installer I have decided to purchase a new Sunsynk 8Kw inverter somewhere else. I spent another R14 200 on to get the new inverter installed according to regulatory requirements. The installation that I Solar did was not done according to regulatory requirements, even though they have issued "COC" certificates every time they did work for me. Their COC certificates are not legal. These people cost me spending a lot of unnecessary money and gave me a few near heart attacks. Very unprofessional, over charges for their products and services and extremely poor communication all the time.

I Solar Solutions doesn't even deserve one star. They have installed our system end of Feb 2024. We had problems since day one. Eventually our one battery stopped working. They removed it on 22 April 2025 and since then we tried calling and WhatsApp numerous times but haven't, to this day (18 August 2025), received our battery back. I know of other people complaining about the exact same problems. Just check out Hello Peter's website. They will comment here to make you as the client look "bad" or to make it seems they "care" but be WARNED, you will spend all your money and receive no after service and if they take something to "repair", in our case our battery, you won't see it again and Paul Van Der Merwe will ignore you. We have all the evidence. The rest of our system also stopped working and our system is not even 17 months old. We're now taking this matter further.

My backup was installed last year, law and behold the first inverter kept on tripping, then Paul installed a refurbished inverter that tripped on the spot. A year later and the inverter stops working. It was sent for repairs last week but he didn’t even acknowledge receipt of it, there is no SLA to advise when it will be returned yet he has the nerve to ask me who am I employed by. His arrogance and lack of customer service will lead to another failed small business.

Please be very careful when using I solar Solutions. In 2022 they installed a 3kva inverter and what was supposed to have been a 3kva battery. The workmanship of their team was extremely poor and untidy with even the battery hanging visibly not level. On complaining about it they send an electrician than quickly tried to sort out the wire crows nest that the installation team left in my DB board. They never fixed the skew installation of the battery. Our power kept tripping outside at our meter to the main supply to the house since then. We upgraded our system now to a full solar system with a 8kva inverter and 2 x 5kva batteries and panels. The installation team with their electrician pointed out to me that the DB box was breached, not earthed and a smaller cable size was used than the cable coming into the property. This has now resulted in us having to get a qualified electrician to fix I Solar's terrible and very dangerous situation that they created when they did the initial installation. After our initial complaint after I Solar's initial installation and the resulted faults we experienced, not ONCE did the owner or a senior person of the company contact us again or come out to see the problem. I will not recommend them for any solar installation as it has come to light that they are making use of contracted workforce to do their installations. I would be very

<div>I’ve been struggling with isolar solutions Roodepoort company for more than I year now. I fully payed for a solar system in August 2022 and was installed 19 August 2022. I was charged and payed for a COC, which I never received on the day of installation. September 1 i reminded **** the owner to send me the COC, he pretended as if he had sent it with invoice. I then ask him if the COC was part of the invoice or a separate document, he did not answer. November 22 I had an issue with the inverter, and I brought it to his attention and reminded him again about the coc. He responded on the 25 and told me that his technician will come and check, he came and I was told that the inverter must be booked in with the supplier and the turnaround time was two weeks. Two weeks passed , inverter was not back and still nor coc, so called **** and ask , he gave another story that he doesn’t know when my inverter will be back and ignored the coc. I ask why he insisted that the inverter must be send to the supplier, instead of swapping for a new because it was still new ,he refused. After a long argument and I realising that he’s not willing to assist me, I insisted that he should give me a loan unit inverter while mine is still with the supplier and because we were heading to December, I can’t be in the dark while I have payed for a solar system. He refused and we argued and I waited for my inverter until on 8 December he send an old inverter which stopped working on the 15, and I told ****. By now I was frustrated and was willing to pay more money to get a inverter that works, so I ask again about a swap out, this time he said yes and gave options and prices of brands he preferred, he recommended a different brand that the one I bought from him. I then asked how much extra must I pay and will he credit me for my inverter. He refused to credit my inverter and told I must buy a new brand and wait for my inverter to come back from the supplier. I ask will the new brand inverter he says I must but work with my inverter, he said no , I then ask what then will I do with my inverter when it comes back, he said he doesn’t know I can use it as a spare. I told him I don’t have money to waste. I then ask him how far in the repair of my inverter, he said he will follow up. His technician came and took the inverter and put another old inverter, that gave me trouble the whole of December and January 2023 which i reported to **** and he ignored me. 13 February 2023 I ask him about the progress of my inverter and the coc, he ignored me. 1 march 2023 ask again, he ignored me till he responded 9 march and he pretended that we agreed to swapped out my inverter with the old unit that I’ve complaining about, I told him we never agreed on that, and he ignored me yet again. April I now called office and found a guy who told me he will find out about my inverter and the coc, he never came back to me , I call again and found a lady who promised to follow up and told me that I’ll get the coc when my inverter is back. I waited till this issue became a legal issue.15 April 2023 Paul send me another persons inverter , buy now i had learnt the hard way not to trust **** so I checked the serial number of the inverter he send and found out it was not mine. I called him and again he takes no responsibility and don’t know when my inverter is and when it will be back, again no coc. 8 May 2023 my inverter was back and no coc again, at this point it’s a legal issue , so a letter of demand was sent to the Isolarsollution office in June for the coc refund, they didn’t respond. September 2023 I send **** a message regarding my refund of the coc, he read it and ignored I. October now ,I call again he told me he won’t refund me my coc money. I’ve received the worst service ever from Isolarsollution and its owner ***** and regret the money I’ve spent in it.</div>
