I’m very disappointed with the service I’ve received from IBTC while preparing for the CIMA Management Case Study exam. Despite enrolling in the “Pass Assured” package, I was given a mock exam that was identical to the one from the previous sitting — which completely defeats the purpose of preparation. Even more concerning, my mock answers were marked inconsistently — the exact same script received different marks and feedback. After raising the issue, I was told the lecturer had made a mistake. That mistake gave me false confidence and played a major role in why I didn’t pass the May exam. When I followed up by phone, I was treated dismissively. I was told “the lecturer is only human” and was simply advised to write another mock. No real accountability or solution was offered. It’s difficult to trust the same system and lecturer again after such a critical error. Other students have experienced similar frustrations, yet IBTC seems more surprised that we talk to each other than concerned about the pattern of complaints. I expected professional and consistent support. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from what was promised — both academically and in terms of how concerns are handled.

Make no mistake. IBTC is a business and not an educational institution. It may depend on what courses you have registered for. But their goal is to make money, and not the wellbeing of your education or training. You pay R13 000 a year to receive text books and assessment papers, which they mark and return to you, and they arrange your exam entry. That is all. There is no tutoring, or guidance or personalised assistance as stated initially. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! You ask questions in emails, they are not answered. They do not read their emails and respond accordingly. You ask for help, you are told to go and get further reading material then what was provided, as essentially the text book provided is not the ONLY source of information for your subjects, and it is up to you to gain as much knowledge as possible for your exams. All fair and well....... so why do I pay R13 000 a year for this service? The information packs are incorrect, as one of the other reviews stated. It advises you to study modules 1 to 3 for assessment one. But the questions in assessment one have questions pertaining to all the modules in the text book. You are advised to simulate exam like settings for the assessments, then the questions are, find an adverti*****t and answer the following questions. From where should I have found the adverti*****t, if I am simulating an exam like setting. I am doing my third year now. I have had to adapt and become accustomed to figuring things out on my own. I also do their annual review link sent out at the end of every year, explaining the difficulties. Yet each year nothing changes. I will be glad once this is done and dusted. If you are self-determined and can work a full-time job and study unsupervised and NOT need any tutoring and guidance. And you do not expect to get distinctions for your subjects. Then by all means take this route. Have a great day!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent exam experience. During the test, I was unable to complete a key payroll-related question because the necessary software was not installed on the system. This issue directly led to the loss of 50 marks, which severely affected my overall performance. This is an example of gross unprofessionalism from Oxbridge and International business training center. As paying students, we expect a certain level of service, but this incident reflects poorly on the institution’s standards. Such technical failures should never occur in an academic setting, especially when they have a direct impact on students' grades. It is unacceptable that institutions of this stature cannot provide the basic tools necessary for an exam. Given the significant amount of money students invest in their education, it is beyond frustrating to receive such poor service. I believe that these recurring issues raise serious questions about the competence of these institutions, and I strongly urge Oxbridge and international business training center to take immediate action to address these shortcomings. If this level of service continues, it would be appropriate to reconsider whether these institutions is capable of fulfilling its responsibilities to its students. I expect a full investigation into this matter and an explanation of how Oxbridge and international business training center plans to prevent such issues from recurring in the future.

If I could go with -1 Star I would. Firstly I app**** and then got my text books . Every time I got correspondence from them, they wanted more and more money from me. I paid more than R7000.00 and I couldn't even get to write my exams. hat a horrible experience, and won't recommend it at all - I am saving up to go to Unisa.

I sent an email regarding my CIMA case study exam and on 18 March Ziyanda Folosi said she would call me, today is 8 April and she hasn't called me. I tried calling them on two occasions but I held on for too long. Now, I have to use my airtime again to call an institution that is sitting with my money - R7 000 to be exact. They told me that they can't refund me my money, I asked them why and that's when they promised that they would call but nothing. In the meantime, I need to book my exams. I'm not impressed by the lack of professionalism at this institution. I must state that I always get the best service from their Sandton branch, but their call center team seems to be sitting in Cape Town and that's were everything goes wrong.

I have had a terrible experience with the IBTC Sandton branch. They have not responded to any of my emails regarding my results. I had the same experience with my N4 results. I only received my N4 results when I went and asked for them at the branch, I was not notified at any point that my certificate was even ready to be collected. I would not recommend IBTC to anyone. I have been studying through them for almost 18 months and I have had countless bad experiences with them.

After writing my previous review, IBTC was in contact with me regarding the challenges that I was facing and since then I have gotten great feedback and I am feeling more confident in IBTC. And will recommend them to anyone who is interested in doing qualifications in educare in their own time and pace.
