<p>On 15 February 2017 we (4 pax) missed a flight from delhi to Goa even after we had checked in and received boarding passes. We missed the flight simply because the flight from Dehadrun was delayed by 20 minutes on the same morning. We were very concerned about this and kept telling the check-in Officer at Dehadrun but he kept saying "No problem you have plenty of time" At this point it must be mentioned that we allowed 2 hours between flights. The check In Officer should have informed our next airline which was also an Indigo flight that we were delayed there and to ensure that we were on the next flight. They have the means to do this as we were foreigners in India. However with much of a rush of fetching of luggage from the carousel and walking to the departure airport at delhi and following queues from luggage scanning, check-in and individual check-in we were delayed. We also needed to use the bathrooms. We managed to get to the said gates which were closed and lots of people waiting there. Nobody called for us and there were no announcements even though we had already checked in. When the gates did open we went through only to be told that we were late and we showed the guy there that there was still time but the Manager just moved us out of there and had us escorted to an upper floor. We were only about 5-10 minutes late for boarding gates but there was still 15-20 minutes before plane could take-off. We went from counter to counter. The lady at the first counter told us the the flight was not closed yet that means the plane was still on the ground. They sent us to Counter number 10 and then passed onto counter number 1 and followed queue and finally the lady there told us that we had to pay INR 48 000. We were obviously shocked and moaned about it as it was not our fault the their flight from Dehadrun was delayed. The one Manager said that they must give us a concession which was now dropped to INR 32000. Ridiculous !! After much going back and forth they dropped it to INR 12800. We had written to them the very next day and the reply we got was that they are not responsible for us missing our flights and that they had reaccommodated us. The flight they reaccommodated us on was also delayed. So that means we were inconvenienced on two flights on the same day by Indigo and yet they couldnt couldnt go the extra mile for us. It has proved that they do have delayed flights. Its not like they were always on time. INDIGO could have gone the extra mile seeing that we were 4 x pax and it was not deliberate but it seems all they are interested in is making money. They also mentioned in their reply that Delhi airport is silent airport and limited announcements are made so they didnt see the need or find it necessary to announce for us 4 foreigners who had booked together. Very dissappointed with Indigo service and staff at Delhi airport. Definitely wont be using or recommending them in future.</p> <p> </p>
