They closed my account because they ****ed up left me with no power Worst Metering company im moving out of this place and I pray to good they go bankrupt rude customer service i don't know how this company is still in business

If I could give zero stars, I would. My entire experience with IS Metering has been nothing short of disgusting. Their so-called “service” is nothing more than a scheme to squeeze every possible cent out of tenants while offering absolutely nothing of value in return. Shameless Billing Practices: They happily tack on arbitrary charges (like disconnection fees) that are nowhere supported in the contract, then hide behind generic emails and pre-written reminders. Efficiency only seems to exist when they are demanding or collecting money. Withholding of Deposits: My deposit was essentially held hostage until I chased them for weeks. Instead of simple transparency, I was met with repeated run-arounds, contradictory explanations, and sudden “corrections” to my balance — conveniently never in my favour. Appalling Communication: Queries are either ignored or answered with smug, copy-paste responses that don’t address the actual issue. They’re lightning fast when it comes to sending out payment demands, but painfully slow when tenants request clarity or a statement. Customer Exploitation: The entire process left me feeling like IS Metering exists purely to exploit rather than serve. Tenants are treated as walking ATMs, not customers. To sum it up: IS Metering is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The stress, the arrogance, the predatory billing — it’s a disgrace. If you have the option to avoid them, run in the opposite direction. They do not care about fairness, they do not care about transparency, and they absolutely do not care about their customers. Shame on IS Metering for calling this “service.”

I have received a water bill from IS Metering amounting to R2,801.54. I have raised an inquiry regarding this amount, but unfortunately, the Contact Centre was unable to assist me and referred me to the Accounts Department. I have since sent multiple emails seeking clarification on how the bill was calculated, but I have not received any response.

I have received a water bill from IS Metering amounting to R2,801.54. This company is lucky to get a star. They refuse to switch on my power even after i sent them a proof of payment that was made , and yes i didnt make it an immediate payment but they can see the payment was made , they will only switch on my power when they money shows in their account so they will let me spent the night in darkness than to help me . I also stay in a small 3 bed duplex and switch my geaser on for 2 hours a day and then off again , during the day there is no one in the house but they claim i am using over the R120 off power a day and that is completely impossible as for the last 5 years staying in this house i have never used more than R80 a day so how can i all off the sudden used R130 + a day , and not even talking about my water bill my water use is about R400 a month but then all the levis kick in and that is more than double my water use and my bill ends up being R1300 + a month and the funny thing is i dont even have a garden to water , this company is the worst ever and cant wait to move out off huurkor house thats using IS metering . Dont ever rent a house or anything if you see is metering is the water and electricy supplier

When I moved in to my apartment in April 2024,I used to pay an insane water bill I'm talking about closely to 1k each and every month and when I would call them and complain they would do nothing about until I opened the meter box one day and found out that the meter would run on its own without water being used in my apartment this was the month I had to pay 1.7K for water and they said I can only pay half with was still 800 which was still high after the meter was fixed I was paying between 400 and 500 which means I was overcharged since I moved in till September and I never got refunded or anything,the electricity is also expensive they should change the their system so they can stop overcharging us electricity is already expensive so we don't need a system that charges more.

Poor and bad service They charge R600 reconnection fee for a debt of R1100. You pay they refuse to reconnect because they want the money to show in their system after two.dayd. you do an.immediate payment and request refund for the first payment they tell you you will get it after seven days. Their water reading system is.not transparent.
