On 4th March 2024 I went to purchase a wine using my RCS card. The cashier processed a transaction and asked me to sign a slip and write my ID number on the slip, I refused and told her that it is against the poppy act, I can't write my personal details for what because the card has a pin, it same like a bank card, and she wanted to endorse my card and they say it because of lot of *****ulent activity with RCS cards that why they were asked to do it. She called a very Rude guy by the name of Alfred or something who was in charge. He Saud the something, my issue is that this happened before on one of the pick n pay and they called to apologized which I took it. This Alfred guy humiliated me in front of his staff and other customers. They could be the syndicates for all the *****ulent activities with the RCS card, they force customers to write ID numbers on a slip that anyone can get hold of and even worse endorse the card. They could lead that to *****sters and clone the card. The worse part I asked him to call his customer service and ask if this is allowed, he said they will never answer, we left and I called them, within a minute they answered, now the customer service lady asked me to go back and she would like to talk to this guy, mind you, it my phone and my time. I drove back and when I got there the guy said he doesn't want to speak to the lady. I found him outside the store talking to another guy relaxed and his telling me his busy with another customer. Pick n pay customer service is done outside the store. I have never seen such service in my life. This is the reasons the business collapse because of managers like that who think they are running ****a shops. My biggest concern here is people's personal details being written in piece of paper just because they are experiencing *****. Pick n pay can not treat everyone like *****sters because they could be having syndicates in their stores, who will take the same information and share it. Pick n pay is the only store that ask for people to write their personal details. After all the drama and embarrassment they give me the wine because they can't credit me back really.
Guys be careful with your personal details because from doesn't just come for you, someone had your personal details and they shared them. It disappointing that a business as big as Pick n pay could continue to this. Oh the customer service lady said they were supposed to just ask for my ID , my question is that what does that prove the fact that the RCS card that I have is really mine because it doesn't have a picture of myself... Pick n pay must find a proper way to prevent *****ulent activities happening in their stores because right now I feel they are having a loop hole inside.
