I bought my car in 2019, which came with a warranty, maintenance, and service plan. Shortly after, I noticed a clicking noise in the car. I reported the issue every time the car was at the dealership for service, but they never identified the source of the noise. When the dealership in Centurion closed down, I switched to the Midrand dealership, where the noise persisted. I raised the issue with them as well, but they couldn't fix it. Now that the car is out of warranty and the maintenance plan has expired, I've been told the noise is coming from a tensioner, and I’ll need to pay around R9500 to replace it. It's incredibly frustrating—if only this had been addressed when I first reported it.

I bought a used Jeep in 2019 with a warranty and a service plan, but I noticed some noise as and when I drive the car . All the time I brought the car to service I was told the don't know what is it until now that my service and warranty is finished they are telling me it the tensioner. And now I don't have the money to fix the car I want to report this to the car Ombudsman 😒

We had a water reservoir leak and had it replaced on warranty with Stellantis in May 2023 on our 2020 Jeep Compass that we bought brand new in September 2020. The same part is defective again in less than a year and their part warranty is 2 years. Jeep Sandton says Stellantis is refusing to pay because they won’t pay for the same part twice as they have already paid for it on warranty. The car just came out of motorplan less than 6 months ago and this is the kind of service we get? I complained at the Sandton dealership and emailed @Stellantis only to be ignored , my car was bought brand new. Check the history of that car and see how bad my experience has been with you. What difference does it make if the defective part was bought on warranty or cash by the customer? The fact is that the part failed within the 2 years warranty part, so why are you not covering the part and acknowledge that a root cause analysis was not done in this car. The car was brand new but we’ve had so many issues including replacing the whole radiator in less than 2 years of owning the car. Jeep needs to be held accountable for their appalling service, I will go all the way with this issue. This is no way to treat customers, now both Stellantis (Nhlanhla Ngwenya) and the dealership (Satel Ras)are both ignoring us on this matter. I have given you ample time to fix this before there are any further damages to my car and now it is enough, I am done with you bad service

I have a 2019 Jeep Renegade 1.4, done only 33 000 km’s. I took this in to Ronnies Motors East London (agent) for a standard service (no faults/running perfectly). This was bad enough at R4800 but was told I need a new turbo at R24 000!!! They did get Jeep to agree a parts discount… but nevertheless I still need to pay R9 000. I have spoke to three industry professionals who say that a modern turbo should NEVER pack in at such a low mileage unless it was a poor product in the first place OR a foreign object got sucked in. I am no expert myself but I do believe I should not be asked to foot this account.

I bought a brand new Keep Grand Cherokee on January 26th 2022 at Jeep Centurion, Pretoria and in May the car started giving me problems. I returned it to Jeep Menlyn for assistance and they started fixing it and to date my car is still not back. All I get is they are replacing a part, after which am told they are replacing another part. Why does a brand new car require so many part replacements? And for each part we have to wait about 4 to 6 weeks as parts are coming from the United States. Jeep has been reluctant to consider giving me a replacement car of my money back. I believe that I was sold a faulty car and the ethical thing to do was to admit and provide me with a replacement (I was willing to accept a demo car). I do not feel safe any more with a car that has been stripped and have multiple parts replaced. Jeep is taking me for a ride and that is unacceptable. I have been utterly inconvenienced by their bad customer service.
