Unfair settlement of max 3 days

Hi I would like assistance on this matter. Got a call from a consultant yesterday explaining that I must pay minimum of 5k whereas owable is less than that. He explained that I do not have any other option ecvept to pay 5k, if less is paid account will still be handed over to the magistrate. Now no one is disagreeing on payment however to be given 3days to pay 5K is really unreasonable and unfair and he says its beyond his powers to change that. Can I get correspondence on this and can send the contract which doesn't stipulate that an arrangement cannot be made.
