I drive a 2018 JMC Landwind. I am very happy with my vehicle and it has really given me great service through the years. I have always had my vehicle serviced at the JMC agents. My vehicle went for service again in February 2025 and the cambelt was changed. A week thereafter, the OBD light came on. Took the vehicle back several times so they can sort this out. It is now May 2025. My vehicle was there again from 29 April until 2 May and still they could not figure out what the problem was. We were told it is the catalytic converter sensor. Even though this was replaced, the OBD light remained on. When we fetched the vehicle on 2 May, my husband noticed that the manifold was cracked on 2 places. Took the vehicle to De Graaf's in Pretoria North. Got my car back on Monday, 6 May but suddenly it was smoking a lot and had oil leaks and the OBD light was still on. After replacing pipes, and sensors etc, the OBD light is still on and no one - including the JMC agents, can't figure out what the problem is and why the light is still on. I've done what I had to do to look after the vehicle thus far, but now it is worse off than it was before going for the service.

Have been waiting for parts since January, this is ridiculous! So much has failed on the JMC Vigus that it's simply appalling! I havent had a vehicle because it has been in for repairs for almost 2,5 month this year alone, and the vehicle has barely 70,000km on the clock!

I am very disappointed in JMC South Africa. In 2015 we bought our first JMC VIGUS bakkie. We were very happy with the bakkie and the service from JMC Welkom was very good. In 2019 we decided to trade our old Vigus bakkie in for a new Vigus 5 bakkie. What a BIG MISTAKE!!!!! From 60km on the clock the bakkie started giving problems!!!! JMC Welkom tried to help, but in the end the bakkie was more at the workshop trying to find the fault, but no luck!!!! In Aug 2022 on 60000kilos the bakkie's engine failed!!! No lights or warnings went on!!!! The warranty stated that they must replace the engine!!! Instead JMC said they will replace the parts on the engine, but they can't replace the engine as they don't have any engines in stock!!!! I've noticed that they also haven't brought any new Vigus 5 bakkies into SA as all the faulty one's already in SA!!!!! I wish they just can admit that there was a fabric fault on the bakkies and compensate us for the bakkies!!!!!! NOBODY CAN OR WILL HELP US!!!!!! IT'S A LOT OF MONEY TO PAY EVERY MONTH FOR SOMETHING THAT GIVES YOU NO JOY!!!!!!

Bad service from JMC general manager -James Chen . My truck is still at JMC Centurion, as per all my emails I have done all the services through them and there were even previous warrantee repairs done in the last year on this vehicle. Now all of a sudden JMC cannot find any documentation or assist me with this major problem which is still under warrantee.

I purchased the car brand new from Metro car sales on 09 October 2020. From day one there were things I wasn't happy with. By November 2020, the car had gone into the dealership workshop a few times. On one occasion, when it came back, the touch screen was damaged. On 8th December 2020 they told me that a new unit was ordered. This "new" unit was only fitted on the 5th of July 2021. On the 4th of October 2021 I informed Rookaya from Metro car sales that the radio unit is not working properly. I had no response from her. On the 4th of January 2022, I took the car into the workshop and I showed Vaughan, (the mechanic from metro that fitted the unit), what was going on with the radio. He said that he was going the call head office and get back to me. He also did not get back to me. The unit id now gone completely off and just flashes. This is very distracting especially at night. (please see attached photos). With this unit not working, I don't have the reverse camera, or radio, or GPs etc. On Saturday the 5th of March I went back to the workshop to show them what is happening, that is when Vaughan and the workshop manager Feroz, gave me the 011 668 0300, number and told me to ask for Wayne. I phoned this number on Tuesday 8th March and was told Wayne was in a meeting. I phoned again on the 9th of March and was put through to someone who gave me this email address. This person told me to send through this email and they will show it to Wayne. Vehicle Details: VIN: LVXCAJBA4JS0001100 I purchased the car brand new from Metro car sales on 09 October 2020. My JMC Landwind Flagship is 1.5 years old with 21000k’s on the clock. The paint on the bonnet is coming off, cruise control never worked, battery had to be replaced, brakes needed to be replaced, gear box needs replacement, exhaust console is cracked, turbo is going. After C had the car for a WEEK they changed the gear box oil and told me to come fetch the car. The car is STILL UNDER WARRANTY and JMC refuses to repair it.

I bought a new 4otn JMC Carryng Plus truck. Came with wheel nuts missing, door rubbers loose, load body loose, Windows rattling/loose. The diesel pump gave problems and it took 10k km before it was replaced. Aircon giving problems since new. Truck now has onlty34500km on the ODO. Friday the truck broke down between George and Oudtshoorn. JMC eventually arrange for the truck to be towed to Oudtshoorn. Now my truck is stuck in Oudtshoorn and the nearest dealer is in Humansdorp. It is still under warranty and now they can not give the towing company authorization to take the truck to Humansdorp. It is a warranty claim but JMC SA is running around the bush and mow wants me to pay for the truck to be delivered to Humansdorp. I will never buy JMC or any imported Chinese vehicle again.
