I sent an email on the 17th of January 2022 asking for the City to please come prune and maintain the tree outside my yard. The Tree has grown very big and is jeopardizing the structure of my house. Trees were planted on my street and the tree outside my yard is the last one left because all my neighbors cut them down for whatever reason. As a law-abiding citizen, I am aware we are not allowed to cut down the tree because it is the state's property however as a homeowner my insurance has told me if the tree falls on my house they will not cover the damages.
We emailed trees@jhbcityparks.com on the 17thof January 2022 and we received a response from Jenny jmoodley@jhbcityparks.com on the same day forwarding the query to Bernard bzincume@jhbcityparks.com and nothing happened.
We sent an email again in March after we met with city parks employees cutting trees at Sunrise street. My Husband told them we spoke to you guys and they asked him for a reference number. He drove home to come and get it. when he returned 5 min later they had driven off.
Bernard included the following people on the follow-up and Nothing was done: Dumisani Makhanya <dmakhanya@jhbcityparks.com>, Seolebaleng Leepile <sleepile@jhbcityparks.com>, Barbara Nyamela <bnyamela@jhbcityparks.com>, Mmamoleme Rakosa <mrakosa@jhbcityparks.com>, Sylvia Mlambo <smlambo@jhbcityparks.com
The request number Bernard quoted was request number 207923
With these storms, we are experiencing I am getting increasingly fearful something may happen and I will be stuck with an expense that will not be covered by my insurance.
Can someone please help me? This house is my livelihood I cannot afford unexpected expenses
