We visited John Dory's on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
There was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant, while the manager was standing around talking instead of assisting staff during what was clearly a busy evening. As a result, the service was extremely slow and our food took over an hour to arrive.
My wife ordered the Captain’s Platter, and when it eventually arrived, there was a prawn and rice shortage — the portion was incomplete. I ordered the 400g ribs with prawns and rice, and when my meal was served, there was no rice at all.
For a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, we expected much better service and attention to detail. Instead, we left feeling very disappointed. Management should ensure adequate staffing and proper quality control, especially on peak days.
Very disappointing experience overall.
