This must probably be the worst company I have ever purchased from. I bought a set of couches from Joubert Furniture on the 10th of November 2025 and paid in full, which included a Scotch Guard and delivery fee to my address in the Northern Cape, and it was delivered on the 5th of December. To my disappointment, the couches were damaged, which, according to them was done by the couriers and it would be taken up the courier whom the chose and i had no contract with seeing that the transport was organized by Joubert Furniture but upon further investigation i saw the material was faded and it looked like and old set of couches i also realized that the workmanship or build quality was absolutely poor i then contacted them( which is nearly impossible as they only i have a email and WhatsApp business line no direct contact number) and stated that that i would please like a refund, which is in my right as the consumer but i was refused and told that they would arrange a pickup at my expense and then repair them and send them back at my expense. After a lot of back and forth and explaining that, according to the consumer rights, they can not refuse a refund and can not force a repair( which i do not want as per their subpar build quality and not as seen on adverti*****ts) i have sent a formal request for the refund and given them 7 days to reimburse me in full they have not given response. Fyi i even visited the workshop to go and see Francois Joubert the Owner but according the woman working there, he is just not available or cannot be reached, how is that possible in this day and age? Stay very far away from this business very very far. i have proof of every thing, time lines, photos, emails ect so i will probably take it up with the ombudsman.

I cannot believe I am dealing with this issue two to five months later. I have tried contacting this “businesses” MULTIPLE TIMES a day, for moooonths. They consistently over promise in their service and under deliver. It’s been 2-3 months since we’ve been promised our couch pillows. After having the couch for only 5 months, the frame is loose and breaking. I have offered to return the couch for a refund but the assistance is non-existent. They continue to ignore me on their WhatsApp line and FB messenger. Do not believe what you see on social media. This place is a joke, and huuuge disappointment. All I want is to return the furniture and get my money back and it’s such a huge hassle. I am so tired and right out gatvol of dealing with this terrible customer service.

I cannot believe I am dealing with this issue two to five months later. I have tried contacting this “businesses” MULTIPLE TIMES a day, for moooonths. They consistently over promise in their service and under deliver. It’s been 2-3 months since we’ve been promised our couch pillows. Saw their ad for a special on one of their modular couches on Instagram Contacted them via WhatsApp and email the same day to purchase it I was given EFT details and told that they will deliver promptly this morning as they have stock on hand, and so I made payment via bank deposit This morning I am contacted by an employee of sorts from this place (not via the actual business contact number) telling me that there is no stock of my order and that the price has changed from R9999 to R13999 “on special”. I had sent all email communications and proof and I have not heard a single thing back yet. I do expect the entire couch set I have paid for to be here as promised (it was not even demanded by me in the emails it was OFFERED) Highly upset and this is clearly the work of *****sters!!!!

Very unsatisfied. Firstly, the communication within the company is not up to standard which has lead us down a very disappointing rabbit hole. Emails I sent once we have ordered the couch back in May has been left unanswered to this very day. Once we started calling another problem has arose, apparently they didn’t know about our order, then it was a situation that the manager is somewhere with no signal and the order is placed somewhere where only the manager can check. Great, so we said we wanted a refund, because this was a very time sensitive order which we placed in time so that the couch would be here in time and obviously at the stage all this was happening we knew that this wasn’t going to be here on time and they didn’t know about our order so they wouldn’t have started yet, right? WRONG, low and behold the manager eventually came back and suddenly the couch was 95% done. Now apparently they knew about the order the entire time… so no refund, okay wonderful. Then at the end it was said that the order must be picked up - we didn’t know this at first otherwise we wouldn’t have ordered it as we are in Vryburg in North West so then we had to manage courier which was a struggle on it’s own but luckily the manager eventually told us who we could contact, which we did. Eventually we received the couch, wonderful. We were happy, but we saw that the cushions of the couch was definitely not the same as the photos and after spending time on the couch we really became aware that this was indeed not HIGH DENSITY FOAM as stated on the product description. And the couch is not even. The one side lifts up which makes the people on that side always lean to the right. And there seams to be a foot missing on the daybed side which we thought could have happened with the movers, but upon closer examination, it’s clear that there was never a foot placed there. We are very dissatisfied with the outcome of this purchase and will not refer anyone to them. We have thought of contacting them once again but we are not in the position to get a courier once more to take and bring back the couch.

If you want to replace you couches every 3 years Joubert Furniture is the place to buy from. After 2 years there are tears in the stitching of the material, the seating is falling in due to inside elastic material tearing and memory foam does not return to original form. When contacted Joubert Furniture said that the 5 year warrantee is only on the wooden structure/frame..... LOL what a Joke They even had the audacity to sent me a quote of R5000 for repairs. Note that is almost what I paid for the couches 3 years ago. I will definitely not recommend any body to buy from Joubert Furniture. rather spend that extra few rand and buy quality furniture.

We ordered a couch. They didn't contact us with any confirmation. We thought everything was fine. 4 weeks passed and heard nothing from them. After we contacted them they said they couldn't find our order. Turns out they took our money but never confirmed our order. We tried talking to them but they never contact us, we need to contact them. This shows us clearly that they dont care about their clients. Now we are struggling to get a hold of them to ensure that they give us the refund they owe us. They dont want to answer our calls, everything goes to voicemail. We want our money back. They keep promising to call us back but never do.

I ordered a couch from Joubert Furniture in early April. I made it clear during the purchase request and in my confirmation email (with proof of payment) which couch I was purchasing, including that I wanted the version with two cushions, not three. Despite this, they delivered the wrong couch. When I raised it, they admitted the mistake but insisted on delivering it anyway, promising to fix the error by sending me the correct cushion within 1/2 weeks. It is now the end of June. I’ve been following up for nearly three months. I’ve been met with endless excuses, I’ve been incredibly understanding, and now I’m being outright ignored. Calls and messages go unanswered, and my Instagram comments have even been deleted. It’s one cushion. I paid a significant amount of money and this is how I’ve been treated? I highly recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing from them be cautious. Customer service after payment seems to be non-existent.
