Bought gobii from kalahari now takealot. Baby dropped phone and screen cracked. So I thought ok according to my knowledge a importer must be able to continue to provide spares for any item imported for a period of 3 years which they sell in this country. I emailed them and the reply was sorry WE CAN NOT HELP U. I mean damn I spent my hard earned money on that phone and so now it is just a brick! That's really bull. This is totally unacceptable. Also this was the 1st thing I ever bought online. And definitely will also be the last. Pity I am just a non legal background end user. Else I would have known how to proceed. I was completely happy to have paid for the touch screen if it was reasonably priced. But not even being available and not even having a option in this matter is the worst. O yes and i purchased it as a Christmas present and it arrived 24 December so it is now roughly 8 months old. And this happened about 2 months ago. I wish I could get the consumer council involved but I guess then they would supply the touch screen at a massive price or quote a rediculous price for it so i guess its a matter of the little guy just getting screwed again.

I ordered a Samsung galaxy S4 mini cell phone from [URL Removed] website on 3 December 2014. By mistake I ordered 2 cell phones and Standard Bank did not even try stop payment for both after notifying them on 4 December 2014 at the Vaalmall branch with all details. R3199-00 were taken of my credit card account twice.

I received both parcels on 5 December 2014 and returned one parcel (a1004513556 with tracking no JL10153363) unopened with the same delivering Dawnwing courier service vehicle. I logged a goods return on [URL Removed] website with ref no RA 1004563450.

The answers I do get since 10 December 2014 is that Kalahari(now [URL Removed] cannot trace the parcel and I have to wait for them to find the parcel at the courier service.

On the 24th of November 2014 I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4.This was a cash deal and I received the device 2 days later,no issues. The phone worked fine except that it didn't have a few of the features that my cousins' Samsung Galaxy S4 had for example, the Swype function.I didn't query it as it wasn't an important function.8 months later (last week Saturday) I dropped my phone by mistake and the screen cracked, the device came on with all the usual start-up sounds, except I couldn't see a thing on the screen as the LCD was stuffed. My cousin reminded me that Samsung has a warranty called \ADH"";the consultant asked me for my IMEI number as she entered the IMEI she advised that I do not qualify for the warranty as the phone was old and out of warranty;I said that was impossible as the phone was bought under 12 months ago.she mentioned that I could have been sold a fake phone that wasn't registered under Samsung SA.is this even possible?is this why [URL Removed] is no longer in existence?how could a trusted name sell fake/pirated phones? A few years ago I bought gift vouchers from Kalahari as Christmas presents for my nephews living in South Africa. Unfortunately, I used an incorrect email address and my nephews did not receive these vouchers. Some months later I contacted Kalahari and explained the situation, to which they replied that the vouchers were still valid.

Despite that they were still valid, my nephews still struggled to redeem said vouchers.

Only recently I was told by a family member that the vouchers still hadn't been redeemed. I immediately made contact with Kalahari to establish whether the vouchers could be transferred back into my name or whether I could cash these out seeing that the recipients of the gifts were still struggling to redeem these vouchers.

I was horrified to hear that this was not possible due to the vouchers having expired.

How is this possible when these vouchers had been purchased and were essentially a financial instrument? Why did Kalahari fail to notify me of their imminent expiry? I have paid for these and would have preferred for Kalahari to act in good faith.

I doubt that the new iteration, Takealot will enjoy my business in the future - Disgusted!
