Late arrival, Bad service and food poisoning to follow.

Bad service, late arrival and food poisoning to follow 6 March 2021 Karoo Spit braai was paid R23 542.50 for the spit catering at a wedding of my client. They were booked to spit on the patio in front of the guest. The starter (harvest table) were done and ready, ceremony were done and guest were enjoying the wedding celebrations. We phoned the company 5 mins before the bride walked down the isle to follow up when they will be here. They told me they just left Cape Town. The food is half prepared. Bells went off. U can't drive with half prepared spinach and feta in this heat! they arrived 1hour and 15mins before dishing time. The food was served cold, the guest were not impressed. They didn't make use of the bain mare setup as the gel wouldn't work outside. - They knew this before the arrival. We offered hotplates. The cheese on the veggies were ice cold. The meat half done, There were noddle sallad served that was not asked for on the quote, the noodles were cooked to perfection. The potato bake was undercooked, the potatoes still had their skins on. The guests send all the potatoes back on their plates. the staff didn't have any hair nets while dishing the food. The dessert were served and the custard placed in boxes on the buffet table. the staff had to ask us if it is buffet or plated. Not prepared at all. The client didn't experience the spit. I work with caterers every day and this meat i promise you didn't touch a spit. The bain mare's were stained and not in any way good enough to serve wedding guests with. The food were done, the guests started piling up at the bathroom door! The next day ... 28 guests were sick with food poisoning. 9 of my staff members were sick for up to 3 days. The bridal party are trying to communicate with this company, but they won't apologize in any way. I have sent emails and facebook messages. no answer. think twice before using this compony. I would like to know if any other event were caterered by them on the 6 of March 2021
