Review is for de' Swan....establishment formally known as Keg & Swan. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My partner & I ordered a rugby platter and the beef strips were rotten. My partner tasted the meat and immediately spat it out, ran out of the restaurant and threw-up in the car park. The waiter and manageress were not worried about the incident and told us that the food was fresh and there was nothing wrong with the meat... she said: "Different people have different tastes...." When we attempted to leave, the manager, Andre Prinsloo (who had been sitting drinking & smoking the whole evening) stopped us at the door and started shouting at us, accusing us of "making a scene.." and "throwing plates..." He referred to me my partner as "THAT WOMEN!" He would not let me talk and kept asking me to let him finish. Once he had finished talking and I started, he kept saying: "stop shouting...." I had a few choice words to share with him... luckily My Partner pulled me out the ces****l.... The meat was rotten! The Owner's attitude was unacceptable! I will NEVER set foot in the establishment again... wish I could give it a zero rating. What a terrible place!!!!!!

De Swan as it is now known in Port Elizabeth delivered really bad service. This was the worst Eisbein I have ever had. Burnt so dry and smelled like it was deep fried in old stinking oil. I wanted to return it for a refund but the manager said I can not. I have to contact MrD as I ordered through them. No response from MrD either, as I have sent them an email.

I recently visited Keg & Swan at Sunridge Village for the very first time. A few of us mere mortal are rather large people, like me (2m tall with a boeppens the size of a barn), so needless to say, seating is always a problem. On this day that was the reason I ended up in the fine establishment of Keg & Swan, Sunridge Village. I cannot say this enough ! First impressions last. The staff are friendly and efficient. The chairs are solid wood to sustain my petite walrus frame. I ordered a coffee shake and received heaven in a glass so I made it 2. Later when my wife and daughter joined ma, I ordered the eisbein. I almost ate the plate with it. It was just amazing. The overall atmosphere, the seating, the staff and the food is something you have to experience for yourself. To the management and staff, my congratulations and thanks for making a bad day good. I will most certainly be back.
