Exceptional Service from Kerrs Funeral Directors
From the moment my mother-in-law passed away, Kerrs Funeral Directors handled everything with compassion, dignity, and outstanding professionalism. They collected her from Charlotte Maxeke Hospital’s mortuary, assisted us with every step of the funeral arrangements, and ensured that receiving her ashes was handled with the utmost care. A special mention must go to Adele Kerrs, who was my main point of contact throughout this difficult time. She is one of the most professional, kind, and competent people I have ever met. Her organisation is exceptional, and she went above and beyond — even making herself available after hours to accommodate last-minute changes to the funeral pamphlets. Losing a loved one is never easy, but Adele and the Kerrs Funeral Directors team made the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. I am truly grateful for their support and would recommend them to anyone in need of caring, efficient, and professional funeral services.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Kerr’s Funeral Directors As a family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Kerr’s Funeral Directors for their phenomenal assistance during our most difficult time. Our beloved mother sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, 23 January 2025. It was a moment of immense turmoil, and navigating the process of arranging a funeral was something we had never done before. From the very first contact, the Kerr’s team truly came through for us with compassion and professionalism. We reached out to Kerr’s on Friday morning at 8:00, informing them of our situation and our plans to go to the hospital to identify our mother’s body. Andre assured us that his team would meet us at the hospital morgue to handle the collection and necessary formalities, ensuring a smooth and stress-free process. True to their word, they were there promptly, took care of all the required paperwork, and provided us with much-needed support. One of our biggest concerns was the administrative burden of applying for the death certificate, as the thought of navigating bureaucratic processes while grieving felt overwhelming. To our immense relief, Kerr’s handled this entirely, allowing us to focus on mourning and being with our family. When we visited their offices to select a casket and finalize arrangements, the patience and understanding they showed us were exceptional. We struggled to make a decision and eventually chose a white casket, which was not in stock. Despite this, the team accommodated our wishes with care and professionalism, ensuring everything was arranged as we desired. On the day of the funeral service, Kerr’s level of service remained impeccable. Just as they were at the hospital morgue, they arrived promptly on time and conducted themselves with the highest level of professionalism and dignity. Everything was handled seamlessly, allowing us to focus on honoring our mother’s memory without any additional stress. The next day at the crematorium, they once again demonstrated their commitment to excellence, ensuring everything proceeded smoothly and respectfully. We cannot thank Andre and his team enough for their support, kindness, and professionalism during this deeply emotional time. Their service exceeded our expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend Kerr’s Funeral Directors to anyone in need of compassionate and efficient funeral arrangements. Terrible service. In my familys time of bereavement they wanted us to look for a cemetery and yet after it was their job. The family already had some financial issues and the one lady Maya was so rude to the family, kept telling them its not her problem, she even dropped the call at one point. On the day of the funeral which was this past Saturday, they brought the body 4 hours later and when arriving with it they still had an attitude and swore some ppl when asking why they late. When we called them to ask where they were they told us they are finishing another funeral as and is awaiting a driver. Kerrs in industria is the worst place ever to bury your loved ones from. They took us to a cemetery almost half hour away from the one we normally bury at. They never brought any chairs, tables, and came to put a tent on a day before the funeral. At the grave site they did not give the water, cooldrink as we as the grave mark and yet this after they were paid for it. Their service is horrible and they did not care abt the family instead they were so rude.

A Bunch of Thieves
A zero rating would be the most appropriate. I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to use these undertakers. Similar to what has happened to the other people, money was extorted from us from day one and they refused to release our loved one’s body unless even more money was paid. A bunch of thieves is what they are. Do not use this company. You will regret it.

A zero rating would be the most appropriate. I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to use these undertakers. Similar to what has happened to the other people, money was extorted from us from day one and they refused to release our loved one’s body unless even more money was paid. A bunch of thieves is what they are. Do not use this company. You will regret it.

Kerrs Funeral Directors have no care for their clients
Having paid for Kerrs Funeral Policy, since early 2015, I have sent many emails requesting details of our policy & asking for confirmation that I am also covered along with my husband, no replies have been received. Now, I need their service & have no way of contacting them. I see comments about this company & that they never reply.

Kerrs Funeral Directors have no care for their clients
Having paid for Kerrs Funeral Policy, since early 2015, I have sent many emails requesting details of our policy & asking for confirmation that I am also covered along with my husband, no replies have been received. Now, I need their service & have no way of contacting them. I see comments about this company & that they never reply.

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM KERRS FUNERAL DIRECTORS
I have had KERRS Funeral Directors bury my mother in 2019 and my brother in 2020. Both times their service was absolutely excellent. Grant went above and beyond his call of duty to assist both times. He arranged everything even down to the transportation of my mum's body from Port Shepstone to Johannesburg. Thank you KERRS for excellent service. You are highly recommended.

I have had KERRS Funeral Directors bury my mother in 2019 and my brother in 2020. Both times their service was absolutely excellent. Grant went above and beyond his call of duty to assist both times. He arranged everything even down to the transportation of my mum's body from Port Shepstone to Johannesburg. Thank you KERRS for excellent service. You are highly recommended.

Kerrs funeral directors are a bunch of SCAMMERS!!
Disgusted by this Funeral palour! Never use them! My gran passed and kerrs was called to fetch the body as we were in a state and could not really think of any other palours to call. They quoted way more than the other funeral palours quoted for the funeral R6000 more to be exact, and this price did not even include pamphlets .. we tried to have them give us the body so that we could use a more reasonable palour because we were having issues with the policies to pay out but the manager known as Grant at the Industria branch who is an unsympathetic scammer told us he won’t release the body, so the funeral was delayed and we made arrangements to pay Grant the amount he quoted us as he refused to release the body, but he then went on to give us the cheapest of the cheapest coffin and apparently gave us the ”pamphlets for free” as he says but even that was of cheap quality despite the exorbitant amount we paid compared to other palours! Disgusting to think that people are profiting off scamming people who are vulnerable and in mourning! DO NOT USE KERRS!

POOR service from Kerrs
We had a funeral for my aunt on the 1 June 2019 in Western the service received from Kerrs was extremely poor we paid for a better coffin but was provided with the standard coffin and had to pay R8000 the morning of the funeral before the could transport the body to the church I got the call at 6 in the morning the day of the funeral which I feel was very in sensitive as the family was already preparing for the service and funeral . we tried phoning the contact person and ask him for a break down as to how the cost summed up the R15k still awaiting a reply to date .I would not recommend any one using them what a shame poor poor service no dignity at all
