Premium Price, Poor Workmanship – My Kitchen Studio Nightmare
In 2019 we spent approximately R350,000 on a kitchen installation with Kitchen Studios, believing that choosing a well-known company would mean quality workmanship and reliable after-sales service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Shortly after the installation we had to call them back several times to address minor issues. Eventually they stopped responding and stopped taking our calls, leaving problems unresolved. Now in 2026, the situation has become far worse. The quality of the materials and workmanship is extremely disappointing for a kitchen at this price point. We are now seeing the following issues: - Joints opening and grout coming off inside the cupboards - Wood cracking in several areas - Cupboard boards showing discoloration near the ceiling - Handles installed with incorrect *****s - Faulty hinges - The pantry door is bowing and no longer stays closed For context, there are no children living in the home and no domestic staff using the kitchen. We maintain the house ourselves and the kitchen is well ventilated, so these issues cannot be blamed on misuse or poor care. When you spend hundreds of thousands of rands with a company like Kitchen Studios, you expect durability, proper materials, and professional after-sales service. Instead, we are left with a kitchen that is deteriorating far earlier than it should. Very disappointing experience and certainly not the level of quality one would expect from a company with such a reputation. I will be uploading photos and documentation of these defects for transparency.

Poor after sales for Kichen studio
Good designs, but after sales is terrible. My wife has contacted the company for a representative to come out, and everytine they cancel. Even during the designs there were endless appointments that were cancelled. The one positive, was the slab that had to be replaced, albeit it was their fault as the slab differed from initial measurements.

Recently did a small kitchen with the company, everything looked fine at face value, however, there were many short cuts. Firstly 2 cupboards are blocked of and unusable with shelving that had not supports (design related, and should have been better advised), secondly brute stone tops not sealed properly and later resealed with different colours all round (as admitted by their staff), and thirdly arrogant staff members, including a director Dinesh Maharaj (who stated "don't worry, we'll sort it out). Do not be fooled by the glamorous studio! After service is appalling.

Kitchen Studio has proven to us this week that they care about their customers. Called them to ask if someone can come out and look at a few issues in our kitchen, and within minutes received a call from Sophia at Mobeni. Moosa came out and assessed. The next day we got a call to say management agreed that they will rectify our issues at no charge. That is unheard of in today's business. You guys have been amazing to us and are still amazing. Keep up the good work and we will refer business to Mobeni at anytime.

Kitchen Studio has proven to us this week that they care about their customers. Called them to ask if someone can come out and look at a few issues in our kitchen, and within minutes received a call from Sophia at Mobeni. Moosa came out and assessed. The next day we got a call to say management agreed that they will rectify our issues at no charge. That is unheard of in today's business. You guys have been amazing to us and are still amazing. Keep up the good work and we will refer business to Mobeni at anytime.

25k more for a a small design change
Since Feb 2024, qoutes were being done. A small change to design, 25k was added to the cost with no justification when responding that it makes no sense. Which took 4 more months. When asked to review, same qoutes were sent back. Don't care attitude, very delayed, poor service. Overall bad service from sales rep. Calls, msgs and email response was still busy with it. Would love the owner Vinesh to contact me personally, ask Colleen for my number.

The best after care service on the market
Just wanted to say a quick thank you to Sophia from Kitchen Studios Mobeni for coming through. My cupboard door had become unhinged in the evening and I spoke to Sophia at 8:30 in the morning and without hesitation, she sent her team right away, the same day, to ***** the door back on. She was very efficient and provided us with excellent after care services. Thank you so much once again! You definitely won’t go wrong with Kitchen Studios
