The place was easy to find the staff were tops especially Mitchell who was assisting us on that day she was very sweet knew what she was talking about she knows the wines from the back of her head she first started us with a sparkling wine it was so lovely and fruity My favourite was the Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Fresh aromas of g****fruit, limes and kiwi burst on the nose. The palate is moreish with balanced flavours of quince, citrus blossom, umami and a bittersweet aspect. Salivating with fresh salinity, lively and a vibrant acidity. Textured and expressive, the wine concludes with a long crisp finish. 😂😂😂 The was another one that I remember that was having a vanilla taste And the last one was a desert wine mmmmh I’ve never had such wine in my entire life it was the first I really enjoyed the experience that you guy your service is remarkable the place is very nice close to the Table Mountain stay safe

We ordered the Metis 2014 wine via Takealot and the supplier which is Klein Constantia delivered Metis 2018, this was not what we ordered for . We returned and requested for the correct wine and twice the incorrect wine was delivered . Would like both Klien Constantia and Takealot to make good what they advertised .

It really is one of the most beautiful wine farms in this country. Home to phenomenal views, knowledgeable staff and internationally renowned award-winning wines. You have to try their famous desert wine - The Vin De Constance. This wine is like nothing on earth! A perfect taste experience. #SupportLocal

So...I am an avid wine enthusiast, collector and foodie and to this end, I enjoy spending time at various estates, tasting wines, buying wines and having lunch at the various wine estate Bistros,Restaurants etc, over the weekends. Last weekend, I took my fiance to a few estates in the Constantia area and we ended off at Klein Constantia, as I wanted her to taste the Vin De Constance for the first time and then have a light lunch. The tasting was excellent and their Metis Sauvignon Blanc is a winner! However, that is where my enjoyment ended. We had asked the tasting team to book us in at the 'Bistro' for two persons for a light lunch after our tasting. We had purchased approximately R2000 worth of wine and were looking forward to lunch. I was then told that I could not open one of the bottles of wine which I had just purchased not even 10m away from their cellar and was then faced with having to pay R400 for the very same bottle of Metis Sauvignon Blanc than I just had paid R290 for at the tasting cellar?? That was not all....I then opened the Bistro menu! WOW!!!!!! That light lunch we wanted was going to cost us R600 for two persons....as they only have a set menu to choose from starting at R300pp for a 2-course lunch and R400pp for the 3-course lunch. There were no other options! As I had just ordered the R400 bottle of Metis Sauvignon Blanc and the waitress had already poured out two half glasses by the time I saw the menu prices....We were stuck! We contemplated finishing the glass of wine and leaving, but were told we could not just sit there and drink our wine, so we had to order. So...we ended up spending R300pp on a light Bistro lunch at Klein Constantia! The total bill for our anticipated light lunch with a bottle of wine and a tip was R1100,00!! SORRY!!! THIS IS ****** HIGHWAY ROBBERY AND IT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE WAY TO TREAT YOUR LOCAL CLIENTS! WHY MUST I PAY R110 MORE FOR A WINE I HAVE JUST TASTED AND PURCHASED 10M AWAY IN YOUR TASTING ROOM...I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ON-CONSUMPTION OR OFF-CONSUMPTION - IT IS BULL**** AND IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. IF YOU WANT LOCAL SUPPORT OF YOUR ESTATE AND RESTAURANT, THEN OFFER US A FAIR DEAL ON FOOD AND WINE - OR ALTERNATELY, ASK THE OVERSEAS TOURISTS WHO THROW AWAY THERE EURO'S & POUNDS TO HELP YOU PUT OUT FIRES WHEN THEY THREATEN YOUR VINEYARDS!!! The wine industry is always harping on about poor returns due to climate etc. Well perhaps you need to start supporting those that always support you and not aligning your prices based on your number of tourists visiting your estate and re-align your business model to accommodate more locals...we are the loyal ones. We decided to go wine tasting at Klein Constantia Winery. As it was a Sunday, we realized they close at 4pm and we thought it would be a good idea to rush to Klein Constantia to make it in time for the wine tasting. We were looking forward to a nice relaxed afternoon however the service we received by the wine tasting patron was, in my opinion, not up to industry standard. Due to the time constraint, the patron purposely rushed us and it was made clear to us that the patron was doing this so they could close on time and, in effect, this gave us and other customers a rushed feel. During the tasting itself, we received a lower than average amount of wine per glass and before we'd even tasted a vintage, the patron would force the next vintage on us. This made us feel like we were being rushed out the door and made us feel like unwanted customers.

To add insult to injury, we discovered as we were walking out the door, that other potentially paying customers were sitting in the parking lot as they had been turned away at the door merely for being 5 minutes too late before closing time which for a place with such high standards seems unacceptable to me. Surely this is bad service?
