Stopped there (03/10/2025) on my way back from construction site. Read the sign that says From the Boer straight to you the consumer. Was very impressed. Walked in and started looking at the prepacked meat in the fridge. Was shocked to see how expensive the meat was (exceeds the price per kg of most of the Supermarkets and butcheries in Springs), and one would expect if straight from the farmer at least 10% to 20% cheaper than retailers that still has many other costs before it is on the shelves. Being a person that will pay a little more for quality meat I bought Beef Texan Steak, T-bone, Boerewors, Dry wors and Babelas mix (the last two I had to wait about 15 minutes to be served, as the same lady works behind the till. I had some of the dry wors on my way home and was not impressed. Super dry, hard skin and no taste (My jack russels though enjoyed the rest). Last night my wife prepared the Beef Texan Steak on the cast iron pan 3 minutes on a side. When I saw the Steak, I immediately thought *** this is not Beef Texan Steak it some other cut which looks like piece of steak with brisket on the sides. After the dry wors I thought oh maybe they will surprise me with this Texan Steak which does not look like a Texan Steak. I took out my meat knife (very sharp) and started cutting this piece of meat. Nearly impossible to cut through it with all the sinew. Started chewing on piece that looked eatable and had to spit it out. I took pictures and half of that steak was totally not eatable. The other half with the Pakistani shop spice on top had no taste. Once again, my jack russels are happy. I told the wife too cook the wors and T-bones and let the jackies have an early Christmas. I should have spent the R700 on the lotto better chance of having satisfaction. Expensive, Poor Service, Poor Quality. Sies man I will not recommend buying straight from the farmer to anyone.

The lady at reception on the phone is very rude and sounds like she does not prioritize people.

We are very dissatisfied with the quality meat that they sold to us. We had to throw away a month pack of meat of R1100 worth. The meat was off and stank
