Would give 0 stars if I could. Olivia the operator has the biggest attitude like I owe her something. A fine was assigned to me in a town more than 5 hours away. The picture of the vehicle clearly doesnt match the description of mine. A bakkie forged my number plate and I drive a small hatchback. Upon calling the municipality and holding the line for almost an hour I'm told to go take pictures of my car and disk. Why am I asked to do all this PT when they should have my vehicle details on the government system? The only offence commited here was having Olivia answer calls with such a stinking attitude. Rather jump off a bridge than call them for help.

What a shame for a beautiful town. We have competed in the Simola Hill Climb for the past 6 years and always spend 10 days in this beautiful town. BUT it start last year already that our group was treated like **** because my fully trained Pug doggie, weight 9 kg, and a service dog fully trained accompanied us. this year it was even worse. we wine and dine a lot and spend between R5K to R7K normally at any given restaurant, but unfortunately, my doggy was not welcome NO WHERE IN KNYSNA. And everyone stated that this is a political thing. Just 37km away in Plettenberg Bay, our company and my doggy were more than welcome, not once, not twice, but the whole time. they even allow us to eat in most restaurants. now my question is ... how can 2 towns, only 37 kilometers apart be so different with their rules and regulations? Is Knysna so wealthy that they don't need money spend in their town? or is Plett just so far in front of Knysna to realize that money from travelers is a welcome income for them? i have the greatest experience in Plett and the worst ever "you are not welcome experience" in Knysna. I'm so disappointed in Knysna and can't believe the overall treatment we received. Knysna will never see me again. i will once again, next year participate in the Simola Hill Climb, but will definitely book my accommodation in the friendly town of Plettenberg Bay. I don't care if it is the DA or the EFF, all I can say is that Knysna is the most unpleasant town in our country to visit. And I will make sure that my bad experience, not only this year but also the previous year will be heard all over social media. CAREN COMBRINK

I sent my first e mail to the Knysna Municipality,on the18/12/22,the only reply I had, after more e mails sent, was to say I have a Collab ref # 1407332 not signed, but said from Municipality Manager,on the 6/2/23.still no communication from them. What I need to know is as I have a pay as you go electricity meter, and each time I buy, there is an additional levy for availability of electricity,+ tax which is regularly increased. So if I go back to being billed each month, then this extra falls away.

Since moving to Sedgefield we have conscientiously paid our lights / water and rates account. In May 2020, we read in the local paper that we were eligible for pensioners water and electricity allocation. We applied timeously but were then told that the application date had been extended. We waited. In August 2020 we heard that had qualified for this allocation. Since then (now 4 months later) it has been an ongoing battle. We have contacted various departments, received a reference number (Reference 888484) and return emails. The last email simply stated that the company which installed the water meter is no longer contracted to the municipality... no solution in sight!
