Firstly, I would like to emphasize that I absolutely LOVE baked beans in tomato sauce. I have tried many different brands such as KOO, Checkers Home Brand, Pot O Gold and most recently the Pick N Pay house brand. The one thing that I have noticed is that some baked beans brands have a lot more water than others. The Checkers house brand is more water than beans and therefore not worth the price. The Pot O Gold is one of the brands with the least water, but the beans are not cooked 100% soft. Unfortunately, the KOO beans, although well cooked and extremely tasty, also have an enormous amount of liquid. If fact if you pour out the liquid you are left with a 3/4 tin of beans. I feel at the price, this is unacceptable. I personally prefer the Pick n Pay beans, as they have the least amount of liquid, without being dry and therefore in my view are the best value for money, and they are also well cooked and very tasty.

No brand can beat Koo even after all these years. The baked beans, sweet corn, Butter beans, Sugar beans are really a delight to have on the side with any meal. These foods really stretch the pocket and fill the family on those days when meat is lesser. I love the taste of Koo over and above the other brands. It's just that they use premium ingredients in the mixes with the foods of theirs. Thank you

I bought a 6 pack of Beetroot 09 Dec 2021 and while eating the first bottle I noticed black objects in the Beetroot. I thought it was just that bottle, I opened the second bottle and this one has black objects in it as well. The expiration date on the bottles is 2023. I have contacted KOO and have been ignored on all platforms regardless of the many chasers that I have sent.

My mother boughts cans of KOO baked beans from Woolworths at N1 City Mall, Cape Town. When we opened one of the cans at home, it had corn inside. For such a long-standing company, I find this ridiculous and I would appreciate it if KOO would replace the good. Should they need it, we have a picture and the slip.

I have been purchasing Koo products for many years trusting in the good procuct but was disgusted to find a worm in my sweetcorn while making dinner! I had to obviously waste all that food as i was layering onto other food making mac n cheese. I sent an email to Koo but they did not have any response. How can i ever trust any canned food.

On the 24th of January 2017 I emailed Koos via their website to complain that the can of baked beans in tomato sauce I opened contained no baked beans at all, the can was full of chick peas (we hate chick peas)

On the same date I received the standard atomated response thanking me for my email and that a member of the Koo family would be contacting me shortly..........I have to ask what their definition of shortly is as they have still not gotten back to me. I sent a second email on 28th January and again Iam still waiting.

Whilst I am not expecting a life long supply of '****s in a can' I was at least expecting an apology :(

I do receive their numerous marketing emails though, they come through almost daily!
