Terrible Service!
Here's some of the issues:

1) We were only served by our waiter 20 minutes after we arrived.

2) I paid for WELCOME DRINKS, but we were only given the drinks AFTER our Main Course, and only because I had to remind one of the waiters.

3) When I booked, I specifically asked for the Prawn and Chicken Curry, and the Chicken Fillet for my girlfriend.
Without notice, my girlfriend was given the Beef Medallion, who does not even eat beef due to her religion.
I ended up taking the beef medallion and letting her have the Chicken.

4) Nick (the owner) mentioned I could get the chef to write “Will you marry me” on the desert plate, but that was not done.

5) I called the day before, and specifically mentioned I would be proposing to my girlfriend on Saturday evening, and asked if I could be seated in an area that would allow me to have enough space to propose. The lady I spoke to telephonically mentioned she will call me back, but she never did.
The seating we were given on Saturday evening didn’t even have enough space for me to get down on one knee next to the table, however I did notice seating closer to the bar where I would have had enough space, if there was any consideration given to my request.

6) When we were eventually served, the wine menu was filthy, and was sticky when we touched it. We had to clean it ourselves with a wet wipe

The lack of consideration, and preparation by some of the staff is a testament to the quality of service offered by La Vue.

I wont be recommending La Vue to anyone, especially consider all the other options Durban has to offer.
