This is the worst Real estate agents I have experienced, they don’t fix things, on every issue all they know is “we will add it to your account. I have fixed the geyser, changed the element, thermostat, even do some electrical work using my own contractor because they don’t want to take responsibility and I was tired of using cold water. My sink once blocked I had to call my own cause they refused to assist me and only to, unfortunately I am still staying with them because moving is a hustle but if you have a chance please don’t use them they are the worst realty estate to ever exit

This is the worst Real estate agents I have experienced, they don’t fix things, on every issue all they know is “we will add it to your account. I have fixed the geyser, changed the element, thermostat, even do some electrical work using my own contractor because they don’t want to take responsibility and I was tired of using cold water. My sink once blocked I had to call my own cause they refused to assist me and only to, unfortunately I am still staying with them because moving is a hustle but if you have a chance please don’t use them they are the worst realty estate to ever exit

ZomerWind Apartments is TERRIBLE place to live. In the year I lived there, the common area had not been swept once. Even though there is infrastructure for security, you can't give anyone a pin to come in so security lets anyone in as long as they have a car disc and license. No calling to approve the visitor coming to you. For pedestrians, they don't even check for ID. The wardrobes have no back panels and are directly attached to the walls so they are a breeding ground for mold and damp. There was a whole gap between the roof and ceiling of my unit that went unrepaired for the duration of the year there. Geysers are less than 15 months old but I know 4 that leaked/stopped working in that period with no help from the body corporate. For a place where I was the first occupant I was disappointed. Everything breaks- toilet seats, inlet valve for flushing, the sink even detached from the bathroom wall. Cheap granite tops in the kitchen stain easily. The response you get when you report it- its not in warranty anymore. If you don't plug close the standpipes with plastic, the whole unit smells like sewerage . It looks beautiful on the outside but its very different experience living there.

This company does not care about the issue that they have caused. They have all these third party vendors that they can never get “hold of” to fix issues. When you have appointments with them they rarely can commit to the times and dates and if they change it and you aren’t there to the secondary plans it ends up being your responsibility to meet their schedule. My snag list was extremely long and even when completing the snags it was always completely half heartedly and they would need to come back to fix the same issue more than once. When you email them they have the same generic line and comes across of if they aren’t actually reading or acknowledging anything. I’m so tired of their choices of third party company being blamed. I’ve had an issue with my geyser and I’ve send videos of the noise and appointments are being made but never met. And it seems to be a pattern. It’s usually on a Friday and then they cannot commit and it gets moved to the Monday where I have to sit with the issue for an additional 2 days. Very poor work ethic and communication skills. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

VERY UNPLEASANT TREATMENT FROM THE FOLLOWING EMPLOYEES: SHARON GOOSEN CARRYN Du PREEZ NADIA SEFUME made a lease in February 2024 for a year and with a deposit of 2500 electricity and R9000 rental deposit. will wait over 2 to 3 weeks for general maintenance and logged tickets for repairs, ever since I moved in had almost 6 tickets logged for maintenance, that tells you how long the property has been running. 1 both entrance and exit inspection were not done with me on my presence and exit was done unannounced 10am on the day of exit not even 3 days before 2 The entire deposit was deducted were as only repainting(wallls had marks as stayed with a toddler) and carpets(with constant medical bills from these as they had an impact to my kids) needed to be deducted which approximately will cost R4k 3 Had to replace wear and tear items that were already worn out in my entrance 4 they keep on telling me that they going to charge extra rental days, comp**** with my month to month rental until the lease ended. Never skipped a month, when opted to exit a month before the lease ends was advised of penalties around and still stayed avoiding any cost 5 all documents sent to me had time frame to send back which did not have enough time to read through as they want them back for their admin purposes. 6 No clear information of how my deposit was kept, whether in the property savings account were over 12 months it accumulated interest or not. None of that was discussed with me even when it was on the contract, my agent didn't prioritize explaining it to me. This is a money making scheme especially in the most obvious part very race dependant. I have not approve if the invoice and yet they continued invoicing me my entire deposit which took numerous months to save for. No call was made to me discussing the invoice, Yet my own money was use to settle the wear and tear that were ment to be considered against the property life span. Will advise to everyone never use the institution as it is nothing but a single way transaction based business. The team has no humanity Very arrogant Does not consider clients input and concerns Lacks sense of understanding and be logical

Very very bad service received from Genesis Realty. Have been dealing with a rude and disrespectful employee by the name of Carryn Du Preez who I have been challenging to explain a rental amount that sky rocketed from R5 492.72 to R 25k and some change. It has been months requesting for an explanation with emails that prove all that was communicated with Genesis staff since my occupancy of the unit, but she has decided to blacklist me with no explanation and no resolution or solution to my query. This has been a rather frustrating and unpleasant experience that I would want anyone else to experience. I have now started hating the unit that I have occupied for over 2 years because of the experience and treatment from Genesis Realty. Looking for a leasing agent???LOOK THE OTHER WAY FROM GENESIS REALTY BEFORE YOU REGRET

Have been dealing with a rude and disrespectful employee by the name of Carryn Du Preez who I have been challenging to explain a rental amount that sky rocketed from R5 492.72 to R 25k and some change. It has been months requesting for an explanation with emails that prove all that was communicated with Genesis staff since my occupancy of the unit, but she has decided to blacklist me with no explanation and no resolution or solution to my query. This has been a rather frustrating and unpleasant experience that I would want anyone else to experience. I have now started hating the unit that I have occupied for over 2 years because of the experience and treatment from Genesis Realty. Looking for a leasing agent???LOOK THE OTHER WAY FROM GENESIS REALTY BEFORE YOU REGRET

I am so fed up with Genesis projects. What an absolute disgrace to the building industry. This must have been the worst experience I had with a developer. The level of detail and the building done is a joke. Let me start with this. When we went to look at the model unit they used a beautifully done unit. Looked so professional. WOW what a letdown when I received the keys to our 3 bedroom apartment. It has been from bad to worst to just cancel my purchase, please. My snag list was 10+ video of all the issues. There is so much that was wrong. Swollen cupboards, flimsy window handles. Cornishes not lining up the trap door has so many gaps. Chipped basin in the bathroom. The laminated flooring is scratched. No extractor fan. We asked for cash hob did not get it. The list goes on and on. Then my bond was registered before my unit was complete. I had to pay two months' bond out of my own pocket. We are renting the unit out. The people who rent from us are on the brink of wanting to move out. I am at the point of lodging a complaint with the NHBRC and talking to a lawyer. I don't want it anymore. I will make it my mission to broadcast this as widely as possible.

Very very very bad, we have rented a town house for a year and the lease expired 30 September and they where suppose to give us our deposit after 7 days now they tell us some stories they don’t want to refund us the deposit
