When a business exists whose only goal is to prepare the necessary forms for their clients so that when those clients arrive at the police station and spend hours standing in a queue, at least they can take comfort in the fact that their documentation is in order. After all, it was done by "experts" with years of "experience" who make a living out of rendering this service. So imagine my surprise and disappointment when I got sent back by the police officer because my documentation was not correct! Ironically, I sent the correct forms to Legally Armed Centurion, and was then berated by them for not reading their instructions properly: they CLEARLY indicated that no family members should complete a reference form, even though it is CLEARLY indicated on the reference form itself that one of the three references should be completed by a family member. But they are the experts, I paid them, so of course they know better, right? When I told them about my experience, their excuse is that different police stations apparently do things differently. I find that hard to believe since it is a standard form with a SAPS document number that you can even find on the internet. And also, if that happens to be true, they should know about it and advise their clients accordingly! That is what their business is about! There are many people doing this kind of thing as a business, rather use someone else.
