I took my 9 month baby to the hospital for medical treatment on 13 March 2021 @ 11am as he was suffering from a cough, vomiting, diahorrea and wheezing chest. We sat there all day and eventually at 9pm a doctor came to the queue asking what was wrong with my baby and then told me that its not an emergency even though I mentioned that my baby was sick since Tuesday and has been at a clinic whereas the medication was not helping and his conditioned worsened. the doctor mentioned if I do not have a referral from the clinic which was closed the Saturday I must go sit at the back of the queue when I was already third in the line. I approached a nurse and mentioned that my baby is not well and she told me that she would ask another doctor too assist, she then told me to wait in casualty then the very same doctor who refused to help my baby walked into casualty, shouted at me asking why I was there when i tried explaining and also mentioned my baby ran out of nappies and milk he told me to go 10pm at nigh to the shop get the nappies and go sit in the queue. He blatantly refused my baby medical attention I had too leave the facility with my sick baby who was dehydrated and chest wheezing.
