Romantic Hideway Picnic for Two.

It was our 2nd Anniversary, and the wife wanted a picnic. Now we could have done our own at say Emmarentia Dam, but I wanted to treat her. I did find it a bit pricey, abd the weather, she was not playing nice. Lucky for us, the day in question the weather was beautiful. When getting there, I suggest that you use Waze, as Garmin has no idea where this place is. The roads are a bit rough, and could be more so after a lot of rain, so I suggest again, book this place in winter and not the rainy season. We were welcomed with drinks and we were shortly escorted to our Private little corner next to the river. The setup was very romantic, with rose petals spread out everywhere, my only gripe were the stairs leading into the shelter, they are rather steep and close together, and you must carefully tread otherwise you may fall. The food was divine, and I guess most of the money paid is more for the experience and not the food. We were not disturbed at all, and when it came time to leave, they gracefully packed the food not eaten for us. Would I recommend it to other people - Yes. Would I do it again - probably not.
