There were a number of things I raised with reception and manager in duty at checkout. 1. Both dinners I have T-Bone steak and then the Rump steak. Both times I asked for medium and they came more than well done actually burned. The T-Bone was thin and barely had any fillet on the fillet side of bone. The other side of bone had a much larger fat section that normal. 2. Night 1, After dinner I got my bill and I added a tip and charged it to my room. The waitress had the cheek to come to me and ask me to pay the top to her in cash! 3. On the first night I received a wattsapp from reception reminding me of dinner time and breakfast times for the following day. This was fine but at the bar on the first night we had a drink with people we met and it was clear that staff were wanting us to leave and go to dinner and this was only 18.30. The second day I received a wattsapp from reception saying we must go and eat dinner in the bar. I rep**** saying why and she didn't say anything but later rep**** to say it was fine we could have dinner in the restaurant upstairs. This was very odd, it's not very comfortable having dinner in a bar with two big TVs playing. This leads to high tea... Well I wattsapp reception and they say yes high tea is at 15.00 so we go down for it and the staff have no idea that they do high tea. They actually had to ask reception who insisted there was high tea but nothing was out. The waitress then checked with the kitchen who told her it would be chocolate biscuits and she then brings out stale white biscuits... During this time one of your staff who looked like a maintenance guy was sitting in the bar kept changing the sports channels to watch what he wanted to watch. Everytime I got interested in the football game playing he changed to something else. This happened 4 times, he clearly and the bar tender and waitress didn't care to think that there were paying customers. They shouldn't in any case be watching TV that is for the guests. Bed bugs! Not great but I do understand that in an old lodge the mattresses do get bedbugs but that must be treated. Both my wife and I left with lots of little bites from the bedbugs. Checkout was a disaster.... In prior emails having joined the Dream holiday club I was told in an email from your staff that I will get 10% off my drinks. This did not happen and I complained and eventually after back and forth with the manager I got the 10% off but guess what... The charges me someone else's bill. They then notice after I have paid and we have to do it all over again... I told them my complaints and they didn't seems to care one bit. Because we were with friends at dinner I didn't want to complain at the table as not to ruin the Valentine's holiday for us all. So I brought it up with reception at the end. The room does need some basic maintenance as well but that's not a big issue for me but the rest is. Please let me know how you can remindy this situation, I spent a lot of money taking my wife away for Valentine's weekend and it was a disaster. After giving them the feedback there reply was very defensive and even denyed most of what I said. This response came from Shalom Mashiri, I am very disappointed in his reply.

We spent 3 nights here, and really loved the place. The setting, surrounding, views etc were exceptional, however, due to the following reasons, I am forced to rate them 7.5/10. 1. Our chalet had the bathroom and toilet directly in front of the main entrance with a clear frosted glass panel next to it so a person can see quite clearly from outside if the light is on at night. 2. It would be nice if LS could perhaps convert half the upstairs balcony into an ensuite as nobody uses is, because the berg gets really cold and when you nice ans snug in the bed and need to pee at 1 am, you have to go downstairs in the freezing cold. 3. There's not much to do at night so most people spend time indoors watching a really small television in that big lounge. Would be really nice if LS could improve on the size of the television. 4. The 2 seater couch is really uncomfortable. For a self catering apartment there should be a proper lounge suite with high back seats especially for watching television. What you have is one of the cheapest most uncomfortable sleeper couches, not suitable for proper comfort. 5. I've stayed at many different chalets and this is the first time shampoo is not provided. I requested for one from the hotel housekeeping and they said they don,t provide anymore. I must go and buy fro the shop outside the premises. Apart from the above, it was a nice stay.

I am very much disappointed with Little Switzerland Resort By Dream Resort. I book at Little Switzerland Resort for more than 4 months staying there leaving every second weekend only Saturday and returning on Sunday. on the 15th of June I checked out to return on the 17th as usual. When I get to the hotel, I was told the hotel is fully booked I can't get the same room as I was staying in for over 4 months which was a self-catering now. I have booked in advance. As a result, I'm I have to stay in single room with all my grocery including meat without a fridge and stove to cook.

Super frustrated and angry with this resort. They are based on the R74 Oliviershoek Pass Northern Drakensberg, Bergville, 3350. Contact number 036 438 2500 We were returning home from another holiday on 4 August 2023 and passed the resort on our way home. We googled the resort to see what they look like and if we maybe want to book a night stay that night of 4 August 2023 while we were in the area as it was my Partner' birthday and we wanted to book with the main focus that our little 5 year old could keep himself busy. The website showed all wonderful things and activities for kids. I phoned the resort to enquire about a room and if they have availability as myself, my partner and our little one would like to stay for a night. If the room will allow our little one and if the price would change if he shared a room with us. We needed to pay a 50% deposit of R940 for the booking which we did 30 minutes before we arrived. On arrival we got told that the entire kids play area is under construction and they have set up a pathetic small boardroom with reading and coloring books for the kids. We immediately asked that we can cancel as this is not what we requested and false advertising as the website did not mention anything around construction as well as while I was on the phone with them to book, they did not mention anything around the construction. They refused to refund the R940 and kept on referring to their cancellation policy. We understand there is a 14 day cancellation. But we booked 30min before arrival and it was false advertising as they failed to mention that the kids area was under construction. What the resort shows on the website and what you see in reality are 2 different things.

My colleague and I booked DBB accommodation for 2 nights at Little Switzerland Resort, for a routine business trip to the Drakensberg. We encountered many unexpected challenges in our work from day one, which led to a late night arrival at the resort, and an extended stay over a long weekend, when no other accommodation could be found. On our first night, we were greeted unexpectedly with meals waiting in our rooms - we had given up on getting supper as restaurants in the area had already closed. Then the reservations staff at Little Switzerland bent over backwards to accommodate our request to extend our booking at short notice, even though they were fully booked. Furthermore, the service of the restaurant and other staff, made our stay most pleasant, and we enjoyed their homely interaction with us throughout the 5 days. We travel on business often, and on this trip we were truly accommodated with exceptional, outstanding service! Well done, Chris and all your staff.
