We moved from Newcastle Kzn to Bloemfontein in June 2015 but he used Logtec truck to collect my entire furniture. Till today I’ve never received not even a pair of shoes from them. I called Eben and he told me that it’s not his fault that I haven’t received my furniture Logtec accused him of owing them 15k then so they will retain everything until Eben or I settle the bill. A year later I contacted lawyers with no success because Eben was under liquidation. After a year or 2 I contacted Logtec and they told me I owe the +R100 000. They kept my furnitures in Johannesburg from the onset where as they were told to bring them to a storage in Bloemfontein. The storage fee was included in the transportation fee for 6months in Bloemfontein. Eben and the Logtec team I wish you nothing but everything bad in life. You guys have taken everything I’ve worked for, all the memories of my entire family our family pictures all that I have inheritance from my grandma. Clothes, beds,tv’s I mean everything is gone including the R30 000 I’ve paid for the transportation. I wish you could all rot in jail for defrauding ppl.

I moved from cpt to Mpumalanga last year June. One year later I am still waiting for half of my move to come... I have taken Eben Saunders to small claims court for the value of R12475.00. Just to receive a letter from him not court or a lawyer to say his company is under liquidation. But I will not leave it there. Do not ever make use of him, he is full of empty promises. You will loose out by using him. It's disgusting that he does people in like this.

Eben from Logtec is the most dishonest lying ******* I have ever come across!

he called non stop to get me to pay him R36 000 for our move. As soon as I paid him he went silent and doesn't answer emails or phone calls! They were a no show on the day promised! The few times I managed to get hold of him he made all sorts of promises and excuses. even up to the day I finally got an email stating liquidation.

He took my money knowing full well that he was never going to provide a service or refund! He is a thief and should be locked up!

The so-called removal company agreed to move our furniture on a specific date. A full payment of R20000 was made, after which Logtc started postponing the scheduled move.

After many unanswered phonecalls and endless excuses they informed us that they had a "crisis", the nature of which they couldn't explain.

Eben promised to get back to us , which inadvertently wasn't done.

Hence, our money was snatched and this company appears to be unable and unwilling to refund us.

What a horrid experience.

This matter certainly requires legal and forensic investigation.

This is my second post regarding this matter. Our move was cancelled at the beginning of March and we were promised an immediate refund. Although a part of the refund was paid to us on 24 March, we are still waiting for the remainder to be paid. Considering that we paid our booking fee in mid-February, this matter has now been dragging on for 3 months with minimal contact and updates from Logtec. This whole experience has been unacceptable and completely unprofessional.

Shocking experience from Logtec Removals

Let me tell you about our experience and you can make up your own mind if you want to make use of them or not.

We booked our move from Northcliff in Johannesburg to Cape Town for the 30th of January 2017. The truck was supposed to arrive at 08h00 in the morning with a 4 ton truck (maximum that our complex could manage). A fourteen ton truck arrived at 9pm and could obviously not enter the complex. A small truck arrived about an hour later. The staff worked through the night to pack and load, much to the disgust of all our neighbours who had a sleepless night. We had our trip planned for the next day with pet friendly accommodation booked and our journey planned accordingly with cats having to be medicated for the trip etc etc, so we could not wait for them to finish, unfortunately as they were taking very long, so at 11am left, they finished at 13h00.

A few days later we called them to find out if our goods had arrived safely in Cape Town (which we specifically asked for accordingly in case we may have needed a box or 2 while staying in our temporary accommodation in Cape Town) and they confirmed that the truck arrived and our furniture was safe in storage in Cape Town for which we paid extra.

So we arranged that the truck bring the goods that were supposedly stored in Cape Town to the new premises in Durbanville at 8am on the 1st of March 2017. So on the 28th we phone to confirm and are told that the truck is delayed until the 3rd of March because of the rain in Johannesburg, which was not part of the agreement and totally unacceptable. We paid an additional amount for the move from the storage facility in Cape Town to our new house. They then tried to accommodate us for the first after complaining to the M.D. Photos were then sent to us of the truck that had broken down next to the side of the road. Well the truck finally arrived at 7pm on the 2nd of March – again a 14 ton truck and we told them that a maximum size of 4 ton would be able to come into the complex. A smaller truck arrived about an hour later and they finished offloading at 11pm at night, again disrupting all our neighbours.

Now, the worst part is still to come – missing items amounting to R5000, a badly dented new fridge with severe scratch marks on it, cracked washing mashine door, hole in the back of our couch, the bottom lining of all the lounge suit pieces ripped. The boxes were all bent and damaged, when we unpacked them, almost every box that had glassware / crockery in it had broken items, even though these boxes were marked “fragile” and them insisting on packing it themselves for "Insurance Purposes."They also delivered a wrong lounge suite at our place, I told them that it wasn't ours and then they had to go back to the truck to bring our lounge suite.

The owner said that he would pay for our accommodation for the extra days that they were late with the final move, which he never did. I would not recommend dealing with this company at all and quite frankly, the company does not deserve to be in business at all. There are many reputable companies that you could rather choose.

Their website looks fantastic, but its all just lies and empty promises. The lies.... the truck broke down, delayed because of rain, shared loads, etc, etc.

They won't compensate you for stolen stuff or for damages to your furniture. Quick to take your money, but slow to deliver your furniture. Poor Service.
