Terrible experience with Lucas Real Estate. Won't recommend them to anyone. Rented a home for 2 years and in December last year the geyser burst and broke the ceiling to the bathroom. This happened 3 months prior to the lease agreement ending. I reported it immediately via their maintenance portal and it took them 2 months to fix it and 1 month to patch the hole in the roof. The entire experience of handling the repair was terrible and cause myself and I hear the owner of the property to take our business else where. But the pain didn't end for me there. The refused to acknowledge that this was a breach of contract by the landlord after taking more than 20 days to resolve. Then accused me of canceling early and wanted to threaten to go to court over the issue. This entire ordeal left me 1 month over in the lease agreement. Who in there right mind is going to fight in court over 1 month lease agreement? Fortunately we came to an agreement with the landlord not to be charged for the last month, but then when it came to the outgoing inspection they started accusing me of ridiculous things like stains on the kitchen counter tops (from the cleaners they hired btw), oven that suddenly was tripping the electricity, even though we used it every day without issue even our last night there and faulty garage door remotes that they themselves issued a replacement before I moved in and was replaced, but they had lost the email paper trail of the other remotes having issues because the "that person who emailed for the replacement didn't work there anymore". Looks like the Hello Peter stories are true about high staff turn over cause I'm not the only one they used that excuse on. I have so many questions about all that, but how on earth are you even supposed to prove otherwise? I told them about the stains to the kitchen counter and they threw the "tenant must be responsible for the cleaning of the premises" lease agreement at me. Real convenient that the contract works for you but doesnt apply for me. Honestly the entire experience felt like a divorce process for a relationship I did not sign up for. Poor admin. Poor experience. Poor everything. Never again.

Best service ever received from an estate agency. Shaun Buchanan from Lucas Real Estate in Brackenfell was the best agent we have dealt with. Assisted with everything and never had an excuse as most agents do. Well done LRE - service excellence!!!

Very unprofessional service from Debbie Visser. Totally non-responsive and uncommunicative. They do not care about following the law when it comes to rentals and this has been proven by the Rental Housing Tribunal. The principal does not bother to intervene or assist in any way. If only there was an option to give zero stars. They do not even deserve half a star. Pathetic to say the least.

We contacted LRE after we saw a property closeby and because we are in the process of selling our existing home, we wanted to use of proceeds to pay for deposit and rental (which would be for 3 months, possibly 6). We met with Annelie, the agent. She cancelled our 1st appointment at the exact time of viewing after saying that something else came up. We rescheduled and met with her last week and after explaining our situation, notwithstanding that its myself, my partner and 2 kids that would need to move by 1 November. Annelie did not give us feedback the same day - we had to follow up - thia after we were promised feedback as she will speak to owner on same day. We were then told that a full application has to be done, which we supplied all the info and was approved. Yet, this morning she said she doesn't recall the conversation and the deposit and rental needs to reflect first before keys are handed over. I cancelled the transaction, that is after being told that they need to follow processes and procedures. So I must inconvenience my family for few days and store my goods at my own cost!!! Because the amount is quite substantial, I even suggested to get a letter from the attorneys to pay from proceeds but it was discarded and I was told to get bridging finance because they need the money first. CLEARLY LRE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS and are so rigid in their way that they cannot comprise - in light of tough economic times your business could do more with customer service and putting clients first. I feel sorry for the owner of the house you're representing!!!!!! Win-win turned into a lose-lose.

I have had the absolute pleasure to walk the road with Monique Hatting from LRE Group Pinehurst. My house was sold by her in November 2019 and is still not registered due to the Covid 19 outbreak. I cannot have asked for a better agent to assist me! She has gone out of her way to get legal documents done and she is still managing the proses. This is most surely the most difficult process during lock down, to get properties sold, registered and to manage the household move to a new property. Nothing is to much. Her support is excellent. Moving into my new place the toilet was not working, she stepped up and had it fixed! (The new property was sold to me by another agent.) Her regular communication with me, with updates regarding the proses at the deads office, is calming. Believe me this is a stressfull time but if you have a capable, caring agent like Monique it is bearable. I can gladly recommend her to willing sellers and buyers!

Our experience with LRE Group improved when we were assigned a new agent. As it turned out, both the agency and we had signed into a contract with the Landlord from Hell! Thank you to Sonja Visser of LRE Group in Brackenfell, for excellent communication throughout this time and for trying to make the best out of a bad situation.
