Luthando Skills & Training : PLEASE NOTE the FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE

It is with regret that I post the following report: I provide in excess of 40 different Professional Technical Training courses to some 6 Training houses in South Africa. These are presented On-line and In person or even On-site, as the client requests. These Training establishments request dates for a particular course and I reserve these . In the vast majority of cases, the courses DO take place; very seldom are they cancelled or postponed. However, this is not true in the case of Luthando Skills & Training; In 2022, the owner of this company booked a total of 9 courses, of which, only 2 actually took place. One in Durban, the other in Sandton. The net result of these cancellations was a loss in excess of R100k in earnings. Income that could have been rightfully earned from om the other 5 establishments. This is due to the fact that the dates were reserved for Luthando, but in 7 out of 9 cases, the courses were cancelled. On one occasion, my vehicle was already packed and my wife and I were ready to leave the very next morning, when I receive a Whattsap message of cancellation. It was so frustrating that late last year, I advised the owner that I would not be working for him in the future. It was some months later that he came back, Cap in Hand, requesting a re-establishment of relations; I agree, on one condition, that he accept my previously not enforced, Terms & Conditions of Contract. He reluctantly agreed and as such, I accepted further bookings from Luthando. In March 2023, I presented a course to Rand Water in Alberton which, similar to the previous 2, received excellent reviews from the delegates. However, he did not pay me, asking if he could pay within 30 days. When the time was up, he paid me two thirds of my fees , promising to pay the remainder before 15th April. This he failed to do. On attempting to contact him, last week, my calls were not answered, my e mails treated in the same manner. The purpose of this posting is to warn prospective Course providers of the fact that with all the above in mind, it is very difficult having trust and Faith in such a company. I am an ethical professional and my word is my bond. All the other training houses treat my 50 years Industrial Experience with the utmost respect; this is because I am a " Hands On" Engineer who has been Blessed with amazing challenges both here in SA and in several other African countries, including the management of 2 large contracts in Madagascar. Such experience is worth sharing and I have tried my utmost to assist in elevating the skills of those working here. However, to be treated like this, and believe me there are other issues : The accomodation, ( booked us into a shocking hotel South of Johannesburg, the excessive charges levied for my wife's hotel stay to mention but 2. ( Hotel booking for the 2nd person was R150 extra, I was charged R1900).
