<div>Mac’s Auto If you are prepared to be treated like dirt, be sworn at be humiliated and given the worst run around of your life Mac’s Auto in Boksburg is the place to go. I was retrenched by my company and with my provident fund I bought my husband a Bakkie and settled all our debt. The vehicle’s clutch failed and we did not have the money to repair it. Due to the fact that neither of us had full time employment we also realised that it was not wise to try and maintain a vehicle. We decided to approach Mac’s Auto on `1 March 2024 as we were told that he might be interested in the vehicle. We had not transferred the vehicle to my name as yet. Mac showed interest. Our asking price was R25000. Because we needed the money he argued that there will be many costs associated but he will pay us R 15000 R7500 on the same day which he did and the baance as soon as the vehicle is fixed. He insisted that we give him the original papers for the vehicle and on 4 March informed us that he had transferred it to his name. After enduring endless insults being called stupid and numerous other slurs not suitable for a public site he placed the vehicle on his second hand vehicle slot Metro Racing trading as V8 Auto Sales at R48 999.00. He then blocked us on his phone. He displays no e-mail on his address and we were unable to get hold of him. He has still not paid the balance onn the vehicle as of 6 June 2024. I still have all his voice noted in which he treated us as described above and I am tempted to post these on social media sites so as to make people aware of our experience.</div>

Good day everyone, this is my first time on hellopeter,my daugter bought a vehicle from a dealership, she bough its as is,but the cardealer scammed her,he never said the vehicle was a rebuild, the vehicle did not have a license, the paperwork was all outdated, the paper my daugter signed for the vehicle the registration on the paper doesn't match the vehicle's registration plates, the vehicle was a total wreck, she bought the vehicle on the saterday afternoon, as soon as she got home she was very disappointed withe the vehicle we contacted the dealer/owner to confirm we wil be refunding the car on Tuesday since the monday was a public holiday, the Tuesday morning we were at the dealership and the owner was very rude,he took the vehicle back and said if we refund the vehicle he would take 10%,which we agreed on,we then asked for some kind of proof that he would keep hus word on doing the refund,he got agitated and said if we dont trust him we should leaf everything and leave,we then left the vehicle there since it is a hazard to drive with(life threatening)and is not roadworthy, the owner said he'd to the payment it'll take 48hour,after this time i contacted him on watsapp and he admitted to being wrong for selling her this vehicle and admitted to have never tested or inspected the vehicle,I've got lots of evidence on our chats and voicenotes where he admits he was guilty, after a day he got realy rude, threatening me and blocked me,in the meantime I've hire a private investigator and is currently busy with the case, all he needed was fir my daughter to open a case at our police station a case of fraud, now the police said that we can not currently open a case since the paper says that its bought as is,but the paper where my daughter signed on the vehicle's registration doesn't even match the vehicle's registration, that is fraud alone right?please if anyone can give us anything to work on,the car dealer has the vehicle at the moment and refuses to refund my daughter's money, the vehicle was returned within three days...

Don't touch them with a barge pole. Collected my car from them this morning. Didn't make it home. Got stuck on the hiway. Had to be towed straight to a mechanic. Antifreeze container leaking. Aircon doesn't work. hooter doesn't work. Radio doesn't work. Waiting for the bad news. Phillip is a front for the owner, Macquire Horn. Says he will chat to him and get back to me. Not a word. This is voetstoets on another level!!! Don't even phone and think it won't happen to you. It will!!!

I have purchased a 2009 Ford Focus ST from Mac's Auto and took delivery on the 26/06/2019. the car showed o signs of any damages. on the 27/06/2019, the car smoked white the engine became loud. i took the car for an assessment at my own costs, the outcome was possible damaged turbo, valve stems and rings. the car had an oil leak, and an air leak. the shocks are gone, i spent R4200 to put tyres and the tyres were badly damaged and had extremely bad vibrations when driving. i called the Owner and he advised that i cannot get my money back, the only thing he can do is place my car on sale and when it is sold then i will get my money. the SA consumer law section 56(2) states that a consumer can return a vehicle to any dealer within a specified time frame, i am trying to return it after only 2 days of owning it, i am having extreme difficulty as the Owner of Mac's Auto seems like he truely doesnt care and i will never get my money back. please stay away, even if you are desperate for a car, rather you wait to find a good car than be robbed by this company.
