Purchased a Mahindra Karoo S6 DC 4x2. Initially the vehicle had software issues, I was told it was due to the altitude changes. Which was resolved after a few visits to the dealership. After two and a half years the vehicle picked up rust. A warranty claim was processed with the dealership, after 4 months no response. I inquired only to find that the consultant handling the claim resigned. A new consultant was allocated and a new claim was generated to which another two months passed. Only to be notified that the warranty was only covering R6000 towards the total rust claim of R23000. I was then told that the matter was escalated to Mahindra SA. At this point a total of 7 months had passed and the vehicle had picked up more rust. I took a loss on the vehicle and traded in for a GWM and never looked back. While Mahindra was a good vehicle they failed at upholding there warranty promise. I would advise caution with the after sales provided with this brand.

My wife bought a XUV 3X0. Was very happy with the car until she took it for the 10 000 service. Software was apparently updated but since then she has a problem with making and receiving calls. Took car back for the 6th time since September 2025, and hearing stories every time. Glove compartment is now broken and dealership claims that it is not under warranty, although car is still under warranty. Will never recommend any one to buy a Mahindra, especially from Silverton dealership

I bought a brand new Mahindra towards end December 2024. I've had endless problems since I bought the vehicle. I reported the problems the very same month. When you drive down a steep hill and you apply brakes, the car doesn't change into a lower gear. It remains on the high gear until you completely stop. They give the vehicle back each time telling me they do not experience the problem. January I took the car for a service at Mahindra Kempton Park. I received the car back very dirty with the same problem and was also told they don't experience the gear problem. On the 17th of February 2026, I drove the car to Pretoria CBD to start my new employment. Upon return I saw a warning ⚠️ light and I stopped at the garage. The car was overheating, the petrol attendant had to wait to avoid burning as he could not open the water gadget as it was extremely hot. I took the car to Mahindra The Glen, they asked to leave the car overnight so they can monitor. The next day the service consultant called me early in the morning to come collect the car as she did not experience any problems. I picked the car up, drove it to JHB Park Gautrain station, left the car there and took the train to Pretoria because I did not trust driving it so far because I was not convinced the problem is not resolved as the Service rep lives 5 to 10 minutes from work. On my way back home the afternoon, another ⚠️ came on complaining about the brakes. I took the car back again. Earlier this evening I received a call from Cindi advising me that the brakepads are worn out, I need to replace it at a cost of R4500. I refuse to pay that money. The car is brand new for brakepads to be worn out. I've had endless problems from the gear, to the car losing time, to everything switching off on the dashboard screen. To a screeching deafening sound coming from the speakers, to the car completely switching of at a robot or stop street but they keep on telling my there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. What do I do with a damaged 1 year old brand new vehicle

-100% bad service. Attitude. i took my Mahindra for Service and they refused to service. first they said the service has expired. after a long augment they said they want to verify with their admin. never came back to me. i phoned back and was told yes the service plan is still valid but the car is in bad condition so they wont service. quoted me R122000 to replace the whole engine. Oh wait i have unlimited waranty, no you car has a damaged heard light so the waranty is revoked. took my car to another garage, and the car had a faulty injector to be replaced, i guess the injector is the R122000 that i was told to pay to repair the car. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A MAHINDRA. IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR MONEY< PLEASE DONATE TO CHARITY> AT LEAST IT WILL GO TO GOOD USE

I am a Mahindra owner currently stranded in Centurion due to a critical failure in Mahindra South Africa's supply chain and customer service. My vehicle is under factory warranty and has been declared VOR (Vehicle Off Road) at Eljoney for an accident repair. The required subframe (Part No: 0201ABA00030N) is on back-order. Despite my vehicle being a warranty unit, Mahindra Head Office (Nicolene Steyn) has informed me that the part will only be sent via Sea Freight from India. This is an unacceptable timeline for a customer without transport. The specific failures are as follows: Supply Chain Negligence: Choosing the cheapest shipping method (Sea Freight) for a warranty-standard vehicle that is off the road, instead of expediting via Air Freight. Lack of Mobility: Despite the delay being on Mahindra's end, the dealership (Kempton Park) and Head Office have refused to provide a loan vehicle or rental, claiming "availability" issues. CPA Violation: Under Section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act, I am entitled to a repair within a reasonable timeframe. Indefinite sea freight is not reasonable. I stay 5 minutes away from the Mahindra Head Office in Centurion, yet I am being told I must remain without a vehicle for months. I demand that Arnold Reddy (Head of Logistics) or Rajesh Gupta (CEO) intervene to either Air Freight this part immediately or provide a courtesy vehicle today. Order Details: Dealer: Mahindra Kempton Park Order #: 77742 Back-order #: BO0226455612

I bought a Mahindra XUV 300 at their Milnerton branch. The breaklight keeps on coming on. First they said it is my tracker and that was disconnected. Then the break switch was replaced, then the software had to be updated. The service is pathetic. It has gone in today again the same problem has been going on for months now. The whistling sound on the radio is so annoying but I was told that because the car was imported with no radio and a radio was installed in South Africa that is why it has that sound. Pathetic service from Mahindra Milnerton. I will not recommend Mahindra to anyone.

Mahindra Clearwater, We have a 2023 Mahindra ScorpioN 4Explore, bought in July 2024. In December 2024 we had to replace the front left drive shaft that just broke for no apparent reason, We took the vehicle into Mahindra Clearwater who advised us that the drive shaft was faulty, we had to wait 2 months for this part to arrive, in that time we needed a vehicle and the dealership said they didn't have any loan vehicles available and said we could drive our vehicle in the city in the meantime while we wait for the part to arrive. I at the time worked a dealership and drove this vehicle to work, heard a strange sound and asked 1 of our technicians to just take a look. Turns out Mahindra gave us the vehicle back with a dry transfer case and Mahindra Clearwater refused to arrange to have the vehicle towed back to their dealership, we arranged with a different Mahindra dealership to get the vehicle towed. In the 2 months the vehicle was there the service advisor phoned my husband to give him an update on a completely different vehicle that had nothing to do with our vehicle. Fast forward to December 2024, we ended up having an issue with the vehicles transfer case, as you put the vehicle into 4W high there was strange clunky noise. At the time we were in Louise Trichard and took the vehicle to Mahindra there, they checked it and said we could drive the vehicle back to Gauteng but we couldn't use the 4W drive setting. We came back to Gauteng the 1st week of January 2026 and took the vehicle straight to Mahindra Clearwater, we were told they will assess the vehicle and give us feedback that same day. Again, the service advisor phoned us telling us the infotainment device needs a software update, but the problem is the transfer case! They confirmed the issue was a faulty transfer case and said they will have to contact headoffice to open a warranty claim for the transfer case and that headoffice usually responds within 24hours. I had to phone them everyday 2 to 3 times a day to get some feedback as it took over a week to receive feedback about the warranty claim and again they told us they have no loan vehicles available. I requested a full mechanical report on the vehicle as I'm fed up of having major parts pack up on a vehicle that's a year old and we haven't even taken this vehicle off road to a 3rd of it's apparent potential. I was told by the workshop foreman that I can whatsapp him and he will provide me feedback on this vehicle but when I sent whatsapp messages, he never bothered to read them, I went into the dealership on the Saturday to get some answers face to face and got told by the service advisor that the service manager isn't working that weekend and that the dealer principal also isn'tworking that weekend, i tried to phone the dealer principal a couple times the followingweek and he too just never botheredto answer his phone or return my calls. We eventually 2 weeks later collected our vehicle and I spoke to the Service manager and asked about the mechanical report and he said I could whatsapp him and he will keep me informed about the status of this report and he will email it to me when it's ready. It's been over a month now and they still don't have this report and unless I phone or message, I don't get feedback. I get a strong feeling this place just doesn't care about customer service at all!!
