I have a problem with Makita regarding a Makita impact drill kit that I have bought from Builders in Bloemfontein. First of all, Hein from Builders in Bloemfontein have go out of his way to assist me and must say his service is excellent. I have purchased the Makita inpact drill kit from Builders in Bloemfontein on the 19 August 2018. Desember 2018 the motor already burnt out, why I do not know because I did not use it very often, but to me for that quality drillnit was a mystery. So I think there must have been already fault on the drill. I took in the drill to Builders in Bloemfontein in December 2018 and it were only fixed in January 2019 which I understand because of the Feast of Season. In October 2019 the motor burnt out again and I took it in for repairs again. I was very unhappy because when I wanted to fetch my drill they said I must pay R720.00 for repairs. Builders in Bloemfontein manager Hein, after I have told him I am very unhappy because to pay R720 and maybe after few months the motor will burn out again. He contacted Makita to ask if there is not a warranty on the repair because the purchase warranty have expired? Now my concern is that the Makita impact drill were a problem from the start. How can a good product such as Makita give problems like this and I only use it time tot time for house repairs and not for industrial use. I think that the drill have a manufacture problem and that they should have picked it up when the motor burnt out so soon when a bought it. I have bought a battery drill from Ardenndorf for much cheaper and with no problems at all. Could you help me with this please. I am very unhappy with Makita's experience product that does not last. I bought a Makita BO6030 Random orbital sander on 21 Augustus 2019 from Miketon tools. I am a “one man DIY workshop” manufacture Meranti work tops at the time. The Hook and loop pad come loose in the 3 month of using the machine. It seems if the rubber pad was only fasten with a few globs of glue. I took the machine to the seller, Miketon tools (Job card 66724) on 1 November. They inform me since this is a warrentee claim, the will send it to Makita/Rutherfords. Makita/Rutherfords send me a quotation (7/11/2019) for R2672.69. Stating that the following must be change: Brush set CB419, Ball bearings608LLB, Rubber guard, Ball bearings 6002LLB, Fan 92 , Ball bearing 6902LLB and rubber pad. In the same quotation, they give a price for a new machine, R3700 + Vat. I reject the quotation, state that I want the machine back. Since then I have problems getting the machine back. Every time I went back to the shop, they inform me Makita did not send the machine back.
