Restaurant disrespects my Reservation

I am utterly disappointed at Marc’s Beach Bar in Langebaan. I made a booking on Wednesday, 05 April 2023 at 09:36am for lunch on Sunday, 09 April 2023 (unfortunately to my regret, I did not take the name down of the person who took the booking).

When we arrived on Sunday at 1pm, we walked passed the long waiting queue assuming that since we have booked a table there is no need standing there. BUT when we arrived at the entrance stating my name and booking time the waiter looked very confused. I showed him my name in the book that was written down by the person who took the booking. He said I must just wait he will be back shortly.

Upon his return the manager was short on his heels. The manager then very impolite said that they don’t take bookings on weekends like Easter and there is no table available. I then asked but why didn’t they tell me when I made the booking earlier the week already.

I was very disgusted in the way the manager rudely handled the situation; he almost made me felt like I was at fault by making the booking.

I have never been to Marc’s Beach Bar before and they will most definitely never ever see me again.

Needless to say, we had a very nice lunch at Friday Island, they went out of their way to accommodate us and the foods was amazing…definitely a must do when you visit Langebaan!
